A.C. Arthur is a rising star in the literary arena. The author has garnered fans over the years for creating so many racy characters, not only mention all the sensual love scenes she keeps delivering and the intriguing plots.

Interestingly enough, people tend to underestimate A.C. Arthur’s experience as an author. But that is because they do not know about all the books she has written under different Pseudonyms. These pseudonyms have given Arthur the opportunity to experiment with quite the variety of stories and concepts.

For instance, as Sapphire Blue, A.C. Arthur wrote erotic romance and she was quite good at it. With the Artist Arthur pen name, the author has also written young adult paranormal, this allowing her to appeal to a younger audience.

With the Lacey Baker pseudonym, Arthur had to tap into new creative pools in order to write small town contemporary romance. The name A.C. Arthur is most commonly associated with ‘Rumors’, which is a murder mystery series. The name is also associated with a sensual contemporary romance and a sexy paranormal series of books.

Before trying her hand at writing, Arthur worked in the legal field. For more than a dozen years, the author, who was raised in Baltimore, Maryland, saw some truly horrific and disturbing things.

For A.C. Arthur, romance novels were not just another form of entertainment. Rather, the books gave her a safe haven to which she could run in order to escape the stressful rigors of the legal field.

It is little wonder she chose to indulge in writing some of her own romance novels, if only to give the same state of comfort to someone else. Arthur has little interest in repeating the tropes and clichés of the romance novelists that have come before her.

+Love Me Like No Other

Lincoln and Jade had an amazing night a very long time ago, and it isn’t something he has been able to forget. And lucky for him, Jade owes his casino a little bit of money. Lucky for Jade, Lincoln doesn’t even want her money, though she isn’t so certain about his terms of payment.

Lincoln’s desire to have her pose as his fiancée for a week came as a surprise. However, he threatened to call the police, so Jade had to extinguish her outrage. But she was hardly willing to let him have his way with her.

While he was trying to seduce her, she would tease him until he fell to his knees. Of course, she doesn’t count on her heart getting the better of her.

This is one of A.C. Arthur’s more popular books, and it definitely endeavors to tell a feel good story. Lincoln Donovan and Jade Vincent are great characters, especially Lincoln who is written to be every woman’s dream.

The novel has everything one might want from this genre. The romance is definitely hot and steamy. There are heartwarming elements. The characters are great and they receive a lot of notable development.

You cannot help but lose yourself in Jade and Lincoln’s lives. And it helps that Arthur’s dialogue is so witty and funny. Even the secondary characters shine. Any other author would have thrown them on the wayside in an effort to keep the story moving.

Here, the secondary cast is actually memorable. The book is very fast paced, though it never feels rushed. Arthur keeps readers engaged from the beginning to the end. This is the perfect novel to give to someone who has never read A.C. Arthur’s work.

If they are looking to get acquainted with her books, this is a decent enough place to start. You do not find many books where the protagonists have this much chemistry.

+Defying Desire

Tia St. Claire has never given men much thought, at least not in a serious manner. The Fashion Model’s past is littered endless flings. Tia only wants simple fun; nothing serious and definitely no strings attached.

And she definitely has her reasons, though those reasons quickly lose meaning when she meets Trent Donovan. With his success and charm, Trent is every woman’s dream; and if she was struggling with doubts about her future with Trent before, their one night stand only confuses Tia further, especially when she is assaulted by defiant longings. Tia isn’t ready to surrender, but running doesn’t seem to be an option.

Trent’s life has been one of duty and danger for as long as he can remember. But that was before Tia sparked a powerful longing in his heart.

This book, the third in the Donovan family novels, follows the only remaining Donovan brother that is still unattached. Trent runs into Tia while trying to help her brother’s girlfriend out during a fashion show.

The two are immediately drawn to one another. However, there are ghosts from Tia’s past that seem determined to trap her in her state of seclusion. A.C. Arthur hits all the marks of a decent romance tale, though she takes things to a whole new level.

The chemistry between Trent and Tia is sizzling. And their relationship generates a sense of suspense that grips the novel from beginning to end. One cannot help but get invested in the lives of these two people.

Certainly, that is the objective of every romance novel. However, Arthur does a better job than most of keeping readers engaged with Tia and Trent’s lives. The author takes her readers on quite the rollercoaster ride.

Both characters get a little infuriating, but that is pretty much what one should expect from the romance genre. If the hero and heroine of any romance novel were to act like normal people, there would be no story.

The other Donovan brothers make an appearance in this book and Arthur endeavors to emphasize the bond between them.
