Many people get confused with the title of the series with My Night and hence, Amanda has clarified about the original title of the series on her website, and has said that it is not My Night. The first novel of the series was published under the title ‘Night’s Kiss’. It was published by the Zebra publishing house in the year 2005. The plot of the novel is set in a sensual and lush world described by author Amanda as the place which is full of vampires all around. The vampires indulge in hunting for their appetites, but often fall prey to passion, love, and desire. The main characters of the novel depict an everlasting devotion which gets sparked between them across the space and time, thereby igniting an affair full of passion. This passion eventually leads them to a new threat in their lives.

In the opening sequence of the plot of the novel, Roshan DeLongpre and Brenna Flanagan are described as the primary characters. Roshan DeLongpre is described as possessing a Dark Gift, which causes him to spend a lifetime of loneliness and bitter experiences, until he finally goes on to find the desire of his soul. After coming across the picture of Brenna Flanagan for the first time, he finds that there is something familiar about her, which also seems to be very haunted. That familiar characteristic of Brenna Flanagan compels him to travel to the past. He is forced to save the witch from the stake as he finds her very beautiful, and bring her to his own time safely. The seductive innocence of Brenna Flanagan as well as her sense of wonder seems to be utterly bewitching Roshan DeLongpre, who was once believed to be a weary vampire in the modern world. This causes him to get closer to a growing danger continuously. The two of them are trailed by a dark entity who has a strong and dark magic, and seems to about their true self. He also seems to have evil intentions against them and will not stop until he acquires all their magical powers. Due to this, Roshan and Brenna seem to appear as nothing but a couple of shadows through time.

The second novel of the series was published by the Zebra publishing house in the year 2007. It was titled ‘Night’s Touch’ and featured The primary characters in the form of Cara DeLongpre and Vincent Cordova. The plot of the novel is once again set in the sensual and passionate world of vampires who look to hunt their prey for their appetites, but some of them end up falling in love with them and sharing a passionate experience of desire and love. In the opening sequence of the plot of the novel, Cara DeLongpre is depicted as wandering in the Nocturne club, which appeared to be mysterious in every sense. She seemed to be looking for a diversion from her lonely and sheltered life. Instead of that, she finds a seductive and dark stranger whose touch forces her to reach for him beyond her boundaries of her safety that she has always known and head into a carnal bliss. Vincent Cordova is depicted as normal being, who used to believe about a year ago that vampires existed only in bogeyman stories and bad movies. However, recently he indulged into a chance encounter which left him with some unimaginable powers, an aching loneliness, and a hellish thirst. He began to believe that his ache and loneliness are never going to end, until he met Cara DeLongpre at one night at the Nocturne club. After seeing her, Vincent’s heart and mind begin to get dragged by the bewitching and beautiful innocence, his blood. Soon, he learns about the Dark Gift that Cara DeLangpre’s parents share and also the lurking threat from a powerful and ancient enemy. Vincent knows about the fact the secret carried by the close and trusted ones of Cara is more dangerous than the deadly enemy, who is waiting for seeking his vengeance.
