Ann Charles is an award winning novelist living in Seattle USA. Having had the passion to right from a tender age, Ann Charles decided to make a career out of it and thus studied creative writing from the university of Washington where she was awarded with a bachelor degree in English. After spending over a decade writing and editing documents for software company, Ann Charles decided to follow her true passion and delve in fictional writing. Having written for her own entertainment for years, it came as no surprise when she won an award for the best mystery and suspense writer competition.

After getting recognition, Ann Charles went ahead and finally got published in the year 2011 with her first book in Dead Wood mysteries, Nearly departed in Dead wood. The story is built on the main character, Violet parker who has worries about little girls disappearing in her town, Dead wood in South Dakota. She worries s that her fear will be realized and her dream f starting afresh in South Dakota would not come true. Her life get s interesting with her experiencing challenges from another malicious realtor co worker, a secret admirer that is downright scary and a handsome stranger who is bound to turn her world upside down and breathless.

Dead Case in Deadwood (2012)

Proving that she can consistently deliver, Ann Charles goes again and continues her Dead wood mysteries. Still in South Dakota, Violet Parkers life just got a bit difficult with headless corpses appearing in front of her. With everything now seemingly getting on her nerves; Violet stumbles of a body part theft ring at local funeral home. Things get interesting when she her list of suspects gets larger and everyone seemingly in it. To get to the bottom of it, Violet is forced to face her fears and face spooky ghosts in the night while ensuring that all her body parts remain intact.

An Ex to Grind in Deadwood (2014)

Violet parker does it again in this serious and inevitable finds herself in the middle of mysterious and potentially super natural occurrence. In the black hills, she starts to receive creepy phone calls, finds a dead body, and has to deal with meddling detectives and annoying ex- partners. In all the happenings, violet swears to stay out of official police business, that is until everything gets interesting and she has to figure what is going on and still manage to keep herself sane and out of danger for herself and her son.

Being truly herself, she forms suspicions and want to solve the robberies, until when she gets something more interesting; a treasure hunt. With the help of her boyfriend, her world gets interesting and dangerous at the same time. Trying to keep herself from going under, Claire tries to keep everything afloat when dealing with her crazy sister, jittery bride, old men and her mother.
