Rather, it helped her to improve her writing skills and developed her into a noteworthy author of paranormal romance. Apart from writing the fantasy novels under her own name, Beth has also written several successful novels under the pseudonym of Bethany Kane.

Among the successful novel series’ that she has written, the Home to Harbor Town series and the Subtle Lovers series are quite popular ones. During the initial days of her writing career, author Beth Kery received some success with the novels of her first series, which was called ‘Because You Are Mine’ series. It was this series that enabled her to establish herself as one of the most prominent authors of the paranormal and romance genres. It was in the year 2007 when the first novel of the series was published and along with it, Beth’s career as a published author also commenced. As of today, the novels written by her have been translated into more than 11 languages all over the world and have sold millions of copies altogether. Beth has said in her interviews that she has been an Urbanite for a very long time and due to which, she likes to visit the museums, theatres and the diverse nature of the cities. She considers herself to be a true lover of art and this is the reason why many artists keep popping up in her books a lot. Having the experience of living in a small town as a child can also be seen in her novels.

The novel series ‘Subtle Lovers’ written by author Beth Kery consists of a total of 5 books published between the years 2007 and 2008. The first novel of the series was published under the title ‘Subtle Magic’ and was published by the Ellora’s Cave publishing house in the year 2007.The plot of the novel deals with the lives of the main characters Duse Ammadon and Skylar Halifax. In the opening sequence of the plot of the novel, Duse Ammadon and Skylar are introduced as living without each other for around four hundred years. Now that so many years have passed, Duse Ammadon is not willing to live without her anymore. Skylar is the life mate of Duse Ammadon and is also the first one to be reincarnated after she was forced into a sexual response and all her magical essences were robbed when Asmoday, the deprived Watcher had killed the mate of Duse Ammadon’s brother.

The Watchers were considered to be an innocent race once upon a time, but now, a whole new criminal world has opened many possibilities for Watchers, who have lost their innocence. Duse Ammadon is aware of the fact that Asmoday is going to make Skylar the next target of his depravity. Therefore, he does not have the time to reintroduce Skylar to the slow and patient way of seduction as done by the Watchers. In order to cover Skylar with the protection spell, he is required to make love with her as soon as possible. Duse Ammadon also has to see whether Skylar still remembers him from one lifetime to the other. She has always known herself to be different from others. Having the capability of seeing auras, Skylar was able to manipulate the subtle matters in order to promote the healing process. After seeing Duse Ammadon in the new lifetime, she sensed that he was unique in every aspect and that there was something different and beyond his good looks and god-in-man like personality. On the other hand, Duse does not have the luxury of wasting any time in trying to convince her that he was different from others, in fact he was not even human. The novel continues to move ahead with the uncertainty that whether Skylar is going to accept Duse Ammadon as the mate of her life or whether Duse will have to use some other measures to convince her that he was her man.

The second novel of the Subtle Lovers series was published under the title ‘Subtle Touch’. It was published by the Ellora’s Cave publishing house in the year 2007. The plot of the novel continues to depict the romance between the main characters just like the first novel, but with a different set of characters. Only the character of Asmoday is recurring in the second novel from the first novel of the series. The novel shows the love life of the characters Che Ammadon and Sophia Galanis as well as the rivalry between Asmoday and the Ammadons. In the opening sequence of the plot of the novel, Asmoday is described as coming back and this time with a determined plan to spread havoc in the lives of his utter enemies, the Ammadons. He makes a plan for using the Astral plane as a dangerous medium to wreck the havoc. Asmoday sees the opportunity as his golden chance to seek revenge from his enemies as well as regain his normal physique through the divine doorway of a powerful and gifted woman, who has the ability of becoming a Watcher mate. Sophia Galanis is introduced as an actress, who is unaware of what she is actually and what she could become with the help of her divine power. Asmoday sees her as a perfect prey to fulfill his evil intentions. Che Ammadon challenges the corrupt spirit of Asmoday but is more focussed in finding his mate. Being a Watcher he awaits his life mate, who is supposed to be a woman with exceptional abilities and who is ready to confer him with a fully corporeal body and provide him the sexual response. The life mate should also have a rarified essence to acknowledge the presence of the Watcher on the physical plane. Wanting to have the power of Sohia, Asmoday is willing to kill her, but Che is also known as the foremost warrior of his race and is determined to save her. After finding Sophia, Che Ammadon is not willing to allow any forces, be it Sophia’s stubbornness, to keep him away from possessing her.
