Brandy L. Rivers is one of the prominent authors who have worked on novels based on the paranormal genre. Besides writing the paranormal novels, Brandy also likes to write in the Romance, Fiction and Young Adult genres. She is particularly famous for writing the ‘Others of Edenton’ and ‘Others of Seattle’ series’. In all, she has written a total of 8 books under the two series, 5 in the first and the remaining 3 in the second series. All the novels that she has written feature erotic descriptions of romantic scenes and hence they are labelled as ’18+’ at the time of publication. Brandy hails from Edmonds, WA, The United States. All through her life, she has been a book lover and has read a lot of books in her school and college days. She particularly likes to read books about magic and monsters.

Brandy got so much inspired by the novels full of the descriptions about the monsters and magic that she decided to write one such novel herself. With a slow start to her career as an established author, Brandy has come a long way. She has tasted success because of the novels of her series’. The success came along with a lot of expectations from her readers and fans which has forced her to devote all her time to writing and fulfilling the wishes of her fans. She is currently working on the prequels of the novels of her series’. Brandy says that she is always full of stories to share. Currently, she stays in Edmonds along with her husband and kids. She is always assisted by her family in writing novels. This allows her to devote most of her time in writing exciting novels without even worrying about the daily chores of her house.

Brandy is a mother of 3 children. She has an overactive imagination power that lets her to think about a number of magical and romantic plots of novels. Brandy L. Rivers always likes to keep herself busy in writing the novels that keep her staying awake all night long. She has the habit of reading the books of the upcoming authors and helps them by providing the with important feedbacks about their work,on their demand. She loves to do it sincerely and happily even if the authors do not take her seriously. Brandy developed the habit of writing novels at a very young age. She always had the craze of winning the first prize in the novel writing competitions during her school years. This allowed her to hone her skills of writing and develop unique writing styles of her own.

As an avid reader, Brandy used to love reading novels based on adventurous plots. She changed her liking to Stephen King when she was 10 years old and with the help of her grandmother, she began watching horror movies and reading frightening novels too. When she was 21 years old, Brandy started reading novels written by Anne Rice. On the whole, she likes to read about anything and everything, monsters and magic being her favorite topics. Brandy seems to inspired by the works of noteworthy authors like Gena Showalter, Lauren Dane, Laurel K Hamilton, JR Ward and many others like them. Brandy Rivers always tries to be in touch with her fans and listen to their feedback through letters and emails.

The first novel series written by Brandy, Others of Edenton features a total of five books published between the years 2013 and 2014. The first novel of the series was titled ‘In Too Deep’ and was published in April, 2013. The plot of the novel deals with the magical world of the main character Fallen, who is introduced as an excellent tattoo artist. She possesses some inherent magic and uses it to make tattoos on the bodies of her customers brilliantly. She becomes tired of the games played by the men around and drives away on her Harley motorbike, leaving behind her old life.

Another character named Brody is introduced as a motorcycle mechanic. He is a talented mechanic and is stuck in his haunting and painful past because of being a werewolf. Very often, he gets attacked by the vampires during the night time. On one night, he kills the vampires who attack him and comes across Fallen while doing so. She has the habit of helping the ones in need and so, Fallen heals Brody from his wounds and kills the remaining vampires. Soon, she finds herself all alone in Edenton, Washington when her past and present collide incidentally. She takes shelter in Brody’s apartment for a short period as she does not have any ride and plans to meet her friend living in London. Brody begins to feel alive in the presence of Fallen after a long time. He tries to help her by saving her from the shadows of her troubled past. However, being an independent girl, she prides to be all by herself and tries to keep Brody away from herself. They realize the need of working together as the danger of getting attacked by the vampires goes on impending. She begins to find it difficult in trying to stop herself from getting attracted towards Brody as the two closer in trying to save each other from the vampires.

The second novel of the series was titled ‘Shadows of the Past’. It was published by the Smashwords publishing house in the year 2013 and features the main characters in the form of Preston, Hayden and Amethyst Lakes. The plot of the novel opens with the introduction of Amethyst Lakes, who seems to be haunted by her painful past. She leaves her home and moves to Edenton to stay away from the memories of her past. She thinks of starting a new life in the new city on her own, but rather gets stalked very often relentlessly. Hayden Hunter is introduced as a Sheriff who is not interested in women. However, when he meets Amethyst for the first time he begins to have feelings for her. He strives to protect her from getting stalked and seems to claim her into his life.

They seem to get attracted towards each other, but Amethyst tries to suppress her feelings towards Hayden as she is not ready to indulge into a relationship. She seems to be disturbed by the fact that her former lover killed himself after asked him to get separated for his own good. She fears of something similar happening to the Sheriff and so does not open up in front of him. Another character named Preston has always come to the rescue of Amethyst. He tries to save her from her nightmares and legends. Amethyst appears to be the one who has brought the nightmares into her surrounding or the one who has the power to stop them. She attempts to stop the darkness from spreading into her realm and also save herself from becoming its prey. The novel came to be known as a suspenseful, sexy and intriguing among the readers and the critics, which made it a success just like the first novel of the series.
