Her once vivid skin complexion begins to develop a pale hue and she begins to notice that the hair on her leg is growing at an alarming rate. Her undesirable metamorphosis puts her career as a cosmetic sales rep at stake and threatens her job security. As she is coming to terms with the changes in her body, a handsome stranger in the form of the handsome Keegan Flaherty shows up.
Keegan apologizes for biting her and turning her into a werewolf and this information sends Marty’s mind into a whirlwind of confusion. To further compound the situation, he happens to be the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pack Cosmetics and also happens to be the dominant alpha male of his werewolf pack. As the novel progresses, readers realize that Keegan and Marty are worlds apart; Marty is a loner and has been alone most of her adult life while Keegan is surrounded by his werewolf counterparts who constitute what he would call a family. Readers of the romantic fictional novel may soon realize that the novel has a similar story-line to Cinderella’s fairy tale. The main characters in the novel are Cara Anthony, a plain ordinary woman and the extremely wealthy and flamboyant, Alex Mackenzie. Other characters that prominently feature in the novel are three supermodels that are Cara’s fairy godmothers, the F.M.P Society. The supermodels were previously involved in a fatal runaway accident and share brain cells with similar genetic makeup as Cara’s. The supermodels godmothers are shallow and vain in character though they possess a pair of shoes with interesting magical powers.
The shoes make the wearer instantly attractive to members of the opposite sex. When Cara becomes the target of their ambitions they convince her that Alex is meant for her and give her the makeover of her life. She consequently begins to live large and enjoy life in a manner she has never experienced before. In spite of her new found way of living, Cara constantly contemplates how life would be if she removes the shoes and reverts back to her dull old boring life. She is worried that Alex may after all reject her when he comes to the realization that it was all a facade.
The novel has great dialogue lines and Dakota Cassidy has done a tremendous job of breathing life into the witty, larger than life characters in the book. Dakota Cassidy’s F.M.P Society has a spellbinding plot intertwined with the occasional steamy but moderate sex scenes.
Dakota Cassidy’s humorous, sexy, contemporary and paranormal romantic novels have a good flow of words, employs interesting stylistic devices while maintaining a straight forward story-line. Her great sense of humor manifest in many of her novels which readers find compelling, rib-tickling and in a sense they relate to everyday ways of life. The erotic humorous novels have received great raves and reviews over the years and have literally kept readers spellbound. In spite of her deep and captivating storytelling abilities, none of her novels have been the basis of a movie script or a television series.
