The Condemned (2008)
Bell’s first book was entitled The Condemned which is mainly a horror novel. It is mainly set at a period where there is war in the world and the cities are slowly being destroyed and those who have been left within its walls to die begin to slowly awaken. The city is quarantined by the army after it suffers a terrorist attack on the water supply. The city people are left to inhabit it and they are mainly comprised of the living dead, who are mindless and left to roam it at night.

Jeff is faced with a lot of guilt for leaving his friend behind but he also has to go back to work so that he can be able to provide for his family. He gets a new partner known as The Kid, who continuously reminds him about his best friend and gives him hope that he may still be alive. He is faced with a lot of nightmares and his new partner slowly influences him as the raids to the city become more and more bloodier.

Jeff’s rage for the City People continues to grow and he almost can’t control his rage. After thinking for sometime, he comes to a conclusion that things may not seem as they appear. He realises that the City People actually have a lot of secrets which are very important to Jett. The secrets are capable of either destroying or setting both him and everything he considers dear to him free.

The Forgotten Girl
The Forgotten Girl is another novel which was written by
David Bell and it is actually a very interesting novel that is quite interesting.

The novel is about a man’s high school secrets which slowly emerge. Jason Denvers finds himself questioned about Legan Shaw who is his friend. Ednaville who works for the Ohio police wants to uncover where Jason’s missing friend may be located. On their night of graduation from high school, Jason had a fist fight with Logan over Regan Maines and afterwards Logan dissapeared.

Jason gets a knock at his door after seventeen years, only to find that its his alcoholic sister, Hayden who he is seeing for the first time in 5 years. She drops her teenage daughter and slowly explains that she has to deal with some important issues. Hayden never comes back leaving Jason with no option but to take care of his niece with his wife Nora. They don’t have any problem in taking care of Sierra, even though she steals and damages their car after sometime.

Jason gets another knock at the door and this time it’s from another woman who warns him to tell his sister to stay away from her man. Each chapter slowly builds up the mystery on where Hayden might be located and the reader slowly finds themselves pulled along.

Logan parents receive letters from different parts of the country from Logan, so atleast they know that he’s okay. Personal relationships are actually very crucial in the entire novel. Jason and Nora have very little tension disturbing them as a result of the many marriage counsellor sessions which they have undergone. They’re actually able to try and keep stability for both Jason’s niece and sister.

David Bell has a unique approach in his literary works and his horrors and mystery novels are actually quite amazing. Bell is actually able to take an approach that is quite creative in his dramatization and his works are both original and of high quality.
