DiAnn Mills is one of the award winning and bestselling author from America, who has written several highly successful books based on the contemporary, suspense, Christian fiction, and romance genres. She believes that her fans should always expect her to give them a new adventure with each of her novels. Mills does always makes sure that she provides them with all the adventures even if the readers do not demand it from her. Author Mills has the habit of combining some unpredictable characters with unforgettable plots in order to develop suspense filled and action packed novels. Other than being one of the prolific authors, Mills is among the board of the founding members of the Christian Fiction Writers of America. She was also the president of the Faith, Hope, and Love chapter of RWA in the year 2015. Author Mills serves as a member of the Association of the Advanced Writers and Speakers as well as the International Writers of Thriller. During the meetings and gatherings of the various writer associations, author Mills likes to speak on a wide range of topics. One of the most successful book series written by author DiAnn Mills is known as the ‘FBI: Houston’ series. This series consists of a total of 3 books, which were published between the years 2014 and 2015. The debut book of this series was released under the title ‘Firewall’. The Tyndale House publication published this book in the year 2014. At the beginning of the book, Taryn Young is depicted as preparing for a dream honeymoon after having a whirlwind romance. As she waits in the lobby of the Houston International Airport to catch a place, a bomb blows off and decimates the whole terminal. She remains alive, but deeply injured. When Taryn gains her consciousness, she finds that her husband has gone missing. What is even more shocking to her is that she has been named as the prime suspect along with her husband in the bomb attack. Further, the FBI tries to convince Taryn that her husband is not what he has depicted himself to be. Agent Grayson Hall has the top priority of catching the people responsible for the deadly attack. All the evidences that he finds a point towards Taryn Young and her missing husband. However, Agent Hall believes that she might be innocent and might have been made a victim by the man who claimed to be her husband. Another theory states that she might have been framed in a master scheme because of the recent software that she developed for her software company. As the tensions keep on increasing, Agent Hall and Taryn realize that both their reputations and lives are on the line and they do not see any other way than to trust one another. All the way through the case, they keep on praying that they become successful in solving the case before becoming casualties themselves.

The next installment of the series was released under the title ‘Double Cross’. It was published by the Tyndale House publishers in the year 2015. As the plot begins, Agent Laurel Everton from the FBI is shown as working on the investigation of a scam case related to the elderly people. With an unexpected twist into the case, she comes across evidences that point towards a felon named Morton Wilmington, whom she had arrested around 5 years ago during her initial undercover assignment. That case had haunted her a lot as she had lost a someone very dear to her while catching Willington. But this time, he appears to be her only lead. A police officer from the Houston Police Department named Daniel Hilton realizes that his grandparents might become the next targets of the scammer. He decides that he will not let it happen and forces an inter-agency collaboration. Very soon, Daniel is drawn to the zeal and empathy of Laurel and agrees to work under her command. The two of them along with the convicted felon go on to uncover important evidences that suggest that the scam is already spread very widely. It was deadlier than they had thought of. As Laurel and Daniel progress further, they get in the crosshairs with a brutal killer. They begin to wonder whether the claims of Wilmington are true or he is taking them right into a double cross.
