Chorian revised the contents in her books that were noted to be sexist or racist. For example, Blyton would use the word Nigger instead of Negro, which was deemed to be unacceptable. Between 1950’s to 198’s, Blyton’s books were taken out of the libraries. Some said that her views of the world were not realistic or some habits of boy characters in her books, were not appropriate for young children. BBC also had the longest standing ban on the make of Blyton’s book. Show producers called her “tenacious second-rater” who wrote “stilted and longwinded” books. The makers of her books were not allowed on air at the time. However in 1954, her work were broadcasted again but were acknowledged to be those of qualities. The Last Chapter
