One of the popular novel series written by author Gordon Korman is known as ‘The 39 Clues’. It consists of 8 books in total which were published between the years 2008 and 2015. One of the initial novels in this series is titled as ‘Cahills vs. Vespers’. This book was released by the Scholastic Press in the year 2011. In the main plot of the book, it is shown that the main characters, Dan Cahill and Amy Cahill, get involved in an adventurous attempt to save the world against a shadowy group called as the Vespers. At the beginning of the story, Dan is depicted as a 13 year old, who has an older sister named Amy Cahill. Initially, both of them used to think that they were a part of one of the most powerful families of the world. The others were trying to search for the source of that power, which lay in the 39 Clues that were hidden somewhere. Amy and Dan thought they no one was hunting for those clues anymore and that the source of their powerful family was safe. However, their thinking that they had won eventually turned out to be wrong. They start getting distress calls from all parts of the globe one after the other. Soon, Dan and Amy realize that their family members were getting kidnapped by the shadowy group, the Vespers, one by one. The Vespers make a bizarre ransom demand to Dan and sister, which they were required to at all costs or else they would start killing the kidnapped members of the Cahill family. Now Amy, and his brother had very few days left with them and didn’t know what the Vespers really wanted or how they should stop them. In the end, it seemed that the Vespers were playing for a win at any cost and if they succeeded in finding the 39 Clues, then would go on to take the world as their next hostage.

One of the other books in The 39 Clues series written by author Gordon Korman was published under the title ‘One False Note’. It was released by the Scholastic Inc publication in the year 2008. At the start of this book, it is shown that the race for finding the 39 Clues related the Cahill family was still on by the rest of the world. And the members of the Cahill family are required to prevent them from finding the clues in order to safeguard the great power of their family. Fourteen year old Amy and her younger brother named Dan Cahill are surprised to find that they are in the lead to carry out this job. The search for the clues takes both of them to Vienna. They seem to have a sheet music of Mozart with a coded message. This coded piece turns out to be the key for them to find the next clue in The 39 Clues. However, Dan and his older sister, Amy Cahill, go on to realize that they are being followed by some of the power-hungry relatives of the Cahill family. Their path appears to be filled so many difficulties that the siblings are not able to see if they are heading towards victory or into a dangerous trap.
