Chronological Order of Half-Moon Hollow Books

Fangs for the Memories is a prequel story to the Half-Moon Hollow series.

Molly harper is an American author born in Kentucky and raised in both Kentucky and Mississippi. She has specialized in the writing of romance based novels and most of her work is about the romantic adventure of two characters. She got her degree in 2000 in print advertising and has known she wanted to be a writer since she was a little girl. As an 8 year old, she had what she called a writing office in the living room where she would place her old manual typewriter and have a toy phone. She would rake stories from her third grade teacher and re- phrase them losing a child in every city. Growing up, both Molly and her parents remember that she always wanted to write something better than what she read. She was also known for her dark sense of humor.

By the time she got to high school, unlike other girls her age, she and her father had a small tradition where they would write stories about each other’s political party and whoever needed up laughing at theirs lost. After her graduation, she married the love of her life and her high school sweetheart David who by this time was a local police officer. With her new degree she got a job at the local newspaper where she worked for six years writing stories about anything she thought would be interesting.

When she got her first child, she decided to get a more family friendly job that ‘normal’ families had. So she applied and got a secretarial job. When her husband was working the night shifts and their young daughter was asleep, Molly found herself left with nothing much to do. All her favorite books did not seem interesting and so she decided to write her own. She had always been a fan of vampire movies and TV shows and so It naturally came to her when she decided to write the Half Moon Hollow series. This is a long story of how the journey to the birth of the series was like.

The series is full of snarky and funny remarks that just make you laugh out loud as you read the book. Molly is a great writer involving the audience and making the scenes from her book relatable. Although not very many people have actually met vampires, if they exist at all, her books make reference to everyday life situations that make you imagine the really understand what the character is feeling.in all the books in this series Molly employs her sarcastic dark humor which is very relatable. The fun, vivid description and the fact that the stories are so eye catching, she is able to find a way to get the reader to read and not want to stop. Unlike many books that go on and on with details that could bore a person at some point, the Half Moon Hollow series books are quire short and make It easier for the reader to read and be left yearning for more from this writer.

Her first book in the series which is called ‘ care and feeding of stray vampires’ follows the story of Iris Scanlon. Iris is a woman and the only Half Moon Hollow’s daytime concierge for vampires. She therefore knows a lot more about the vampires from her job, which also include letting in the plumber to take some chilled blood to nourish himself. This fact helps her get a look at the life of a vampire in depth not just from the glamorous, oh they are so young and sexy, perspective but she also gets to see the negative side that is not very pleasant. Because of what she knows and has seen about them, she decides to make her life simple. She will only interact with vampires if it is business, they will not be friends and it is just nothing personal.

All her days were going well until she finds one of her clients Cal poison on his kitchen floor poisoned. Iris is the only one who can help him until he is strong enough to find out who is really looking to kill him. Cal offers iris a good amount of money if she could keep him or give him a place to hide until he figures things out. Something iris accepts, after all, It is business. However, things turn out differently when iris begins to think about how sexy and devastatingly handsome Cal is.

Cal turns out to be very ungrateful, not knowing the difference between servant and employee and according to Iris he is cranky, prone to out bursts of staggering insensitivity and condescending. Something she thinks if she wanted these characters around her, she would get a cat. But as It turns out, the small nudge is what they both needed to spice up their lives. Is Cal falling for iris too but does not want to show it?

Her next book in the series, driving Mr. dead follows the life of Miranda packets who has tried a lot of professions but cannot seem to keep anyone of them permanently. She is hired to be a drive to Collin Sutherland a condescending vampire who has written rules that she should follow during this trip in a 16 paged book. He is in fact so paranoid he cannot fly. He has things he needs to deliver in Kentucky for the council. He is in fact so paranoid he freaks out when Miranda leaves fast food wrapped in a newspaper on the seat. On the trip that was only supposed to have fatigue as a disaster, everything that could go wrong does. They are followed by people who are looking for the items Collin has to deliver to the council. It gets to a point they wonder if they are actually going to arrive in one piece.

This book captures the imagination of a person. No one wants to be trapped in a car with a paranoid person for hours. It could drive you crazy
