This woman, Laurel Marks, does not attract Jack Keller’s history with her history. The only thing that he knows is that Laurel has violated her parole and is wanted for the act. He seems interested only in his paycheck, which depends on how well he keeps a track on her and finally catches her. In the meantime, Jack’s current girlfriend and the deputy of the sheriff, Marie Jones, is asked to arrive at a crime scene of a brutal murder. She comes to know that the owner of a gas filling station has been killed with a point black gunshot on his face. Upon investigating, Marie Jones learns that the owner’s stepson was also present at the time of his murder, who has now gone missing. Along with him, the cash from the register has also vanished. Even though it looks as if the stepson is the murderer and has run away with the cash, something in Marie Jones’s mind tells her to wait for things to clear a little bit more before jumping to conclusions.

Later, it comes to the notice of Marie Jones and Jack Keller that a merciless and bloody killer spree has been set in motion in the church located on the country’s other side. It does not look like Keller’s tracking of Laurel Marks and Marie’s kidnapping/murder case investigation are related to the killing spree. Soon, the media gets involved and things undergo a drastic change. The media ends up making a great mess of the situation that reveals just what Marie Jones, Jack Keller, and all the other peace officer from the North Carolina state feel afraid to believe. They learn that 3 people have become extremely angry because of the whole turn of events. They have equipped themselves with heavy arms and are ready to attack at any point of time.
