Living in Auckland, New Zealand, the author Jackie Ashenden is a renowned writer of science-fiction and fantasy. With a flair for romance as well, she has a firm grasp of her craft, as her skills have become finely honed over the years, as she’s now a true master of her craft. Creating unique and intricate worlds, she continues to write to this very day, with more and more flocking to her work all the time.

Early and Personal Life

Living in Auckland, New Zealand she spends her time both reading and writing, something which she has managed and done from an early age, as she has always had a strong passion in literature. With a keen eye for the fantastical with her unique takes on the science-fiction and fantasy genres, she also manages to keep it all down-to-earth as well, with her ability to write a quality romance novel as well. Residing with her husband, Dr Jax, she also has two kids, two cats and two guppies which happen to take up a large portion of her time as well, when she is not writing that is.

Maintaining an active life, she seeks inspiration from the world around her as she goes mountain biking with her husband a lot, taking in the surrounding environment, always seeking inspiration for new material. That with her fondness for chocolate martinis, she is always reading looking to improve her writing as she becomes a master of her craft within her field. Knowing the genre well, she has managed to create a presence upon the literary scene that is well regarded by both her peers and contemporaries, as well as with the public too.

Writing Career

Having written a number of romance books now, Jackie Ashenden has a long and extensive line of books and franchises stretching out behind her with many more to come yet. Knowing the tenets and tropes of her genre well, she manages to play with them subverting and transforming them creating something entirely new in the process. Talking Dirty With the CEO

This was to be the first book in the series Talking Dirty that managed to reach three in total, each one containing a story of steamy passion as tensions rise once again between the sheets. First published on the 13th of May, 2013, this managed to set the tone for the novels that were to come following this particular book, whilst also establishing the overall tone too. The characters themselves, whilst self-contained within the book, were a staple of what was to come in the subsequent installments that were to follow.

Telling the story of Christie St. John, it shows her as the lead protagonist coming up against the rich CEO and mogul Joseph Ashton as their personalities both collide. She is a shy and somewhat reserved ‘geek’ who is both intelligent and resourceful, but is also looking to come out of her shell and explore herself. He is a rich and wealthy male who has worked his way up to the top of the company with all the power, wealth and responsibility that that entails up there. As a gadget journalist she is sent to do a report about online dating which leads to her ending up in bed with him as she must overcome her reserved nature if she wants to stay with him. Meanwhile he is suspicious that she maybe just out for his money, as he now finds it difficult to trust being one of the wealthiest men in the world. Can she manage to keep him? Will he be able to find out her true feelings for him? What will become of her as she finds herself talking dirty with the CEO?

The Billion Dollar Bad Boy

This is the second book in the Billionaire’s Club series of novels from Jackie Ashenden, as they seek to explore the high-stakes world of the power found in the upper echelons of society. Featuring stories of passion once again, along with money and power, there’s everything to lose and just as much to gain, especially when there’s romance being thrown into the mix. Further establishing what’s come before, it has its own self-contained story with its own characters and protagonists, whilst simultaneously revisiting some of the original themes.
