1. Deadline

In this book, a couple composed of Reporter Caitlin Sparks and detective Blake Madison embarks on a journey to investigate a series of suspicious deaths linked to the America’s state department. While you would ordinarily expect a journalist to investigate a crime with the aim of landing on the front page headline, that was not the case with Caitlin. Two counterterrorism operators, who happen to be on the front line of war, and hence are the ones waging war and deciding destinies, learn they actually have more than they imagined to fight for and a lot more to lose. Trouble starts when the wife of Blake Madison, the co-owner of a private security firm, disappears as he’s taking an early morning jog. He sets out to find out if the person behind her disappearance is someone from his past as a detective or her past as an undercover journalist. Separately, Nicholas Colt Colton, the Phantom Force Tactical operative, though the notorious extremist he captured some years ago went to prison for good. However, a new classified mission shows that the danger is still live and that the corruption in the US government is far much widespread.

A Task Force 2 agent called Josephine Joey Summers, after working her own perspective to find out what the terrorist leader is up to, finally comes across a plausible yet terrifying theory. She, nonetheless, doesn’t know who to trust. She finally decided to team up with a retired Navy SEAL only to discover that the plot is much bigger than she initially imagined while the outcome is even much more alarming. Blake, Nick, and Josephine, together with other warriors, joined the forces to solve the crime. Will they succeed and save her life? Or Blake will lose the love of his life as well as his private security firm?

The Gray Ghost of Civil War Virginia
