Therefore, John Lutz is indeed known to be a prolific writer with o many books, stories, series and novels to his name. Well, some of the renowned books and series that John Lutz has written include Alo Nudger, the Fred Caver to Frank Quinn as well as various Standalone novels together with other short stories that ranges from the Abridged, After the ball to all Business as well as the basement room, Day shift, Big game, El Palacio to mention just but a few. In any case, one of his renowned series and clearly a good read was the Frank Quinn Series, which is a story about a retired police captain Frank Quinn and his PI team, both of whom are special consultants to the NYPD out to hunt serial killers.

In the first book of the Frank Quinn series known as Darker than Night, the story begins when the muderer known as The Night Prowler turns a city that does not sleeps into one town that is now kept awake by terrifying ordeals. The Night prowler, gets into couple’s homes unseen and in an unsuspecting move, the Night prowler lingers around until the perfect time and moment arrives when he kills his victims and takes their lives while leaving them with gifts. It is in this wake that Frank Quinn, an EX homicide cop comes into the picture, while still coming to terms with quite an elaborate set up that contributed to the end of his career. For Quinn, this is therefore not just an regular call of duty or a job, rather it is his last chance to redeem and to salvage reputation.

Therefore, as the investigation is on going, the Night prowler is not wasting time but is otherwise stalking new preys, where he kills a loan officer together with her highly paid husband as well as a couple that made a great kill in the stock market not to mention some pretty actress together with her prosperous lover, all of whom have now been killed. With such a tragedy, the dilemma i now upon Frank Quinn to unlock the mystery of this tragedy and to end all this blood letting. In a city the size New York, any one among the 8 million faces could actually be this mysterious killer, or probably the Killers next target so Frank Quinn has clearly his work cut out.

Another series is the Thomas horn Series, with the first book in that series being the Night Spider. In this book the retired NYPD captain Thomas Horn and his detectives goes to investigate the mysterious death of some women that have been found killed as they slept inside their Manhattan high rises and behind securely locked doors. Each seems to have been sealed alive in her bed sheets and stabbed repeatedly.

The ordeal and the scene is so horrifying and terrifying that even a veteran like Thomas Horn is baffled. Nothing links or connects the slain women except for the cruel incident by such a cunning intruder. Some little clue points to some signs of wall crawling of a some glass cutting predator, who enters the bedroom windows with much ease. However, the killer seems to grow bolder and horns worst fears are about to to be confirmed.Since some where in the dark , there is a night spider who is prepared to take a new victim, and it appears that the killer is no stranger. The whole story is now about race against time .Thomas has no choice but to snare this psychopath, and to beat him at his own the killer at his own game or simply die trying.
