Being hard hearted and scarred, he is among one of the wealthiest and most influential persons of London. Dorian Blackwell seems to stop at nothing to take vengeance against the ones who have done wrong to him. He even appears to fight till his last breath to seize whatever he wants. The beautiful and innocent widow named Farah Leigh is also not an exception. After some time, Dorian whisks Farah in the wild Highlands of his sanctuary. However, Farah does not seem to be anyone’s puppet. She seems to have a powerful secret which even threatens her own life. On one occasion, Dorian holds her captive in order to protect her from the ones who want to kill her. Seeing it in the only way, he makes a scandalous proposition to her, which is to marry him and then use her secret to take revenge from his enemies. She is described as a stunningly beautiful and popular actress. Due to this new and impossible target, the life of Christopher Argent is turned upside down. Eventually, he is not able to complete the mission because of the overwhelming heat that develops between them. Also, he decides to save Millie’s life, on the contrary and will do anything possible. In his determination to protect Millie LeCour, he will not think twice to risk his own life. But, when Millie comes to know that Christopher Argent was hired to kill her in the first place, she is torn apart. On one hand, she begins to fear him and on the other, she feels sad for the closeness that she had developed with him. However, she realizes that putting her life into the arms of this dangerous man is the only way to be safe. She gives in to her desire to have him in her life and knows that she has committed the deadliest mistake of her life. As the lives of both Christopher and Millie appear to be in jeopardy, they are required to learn to trust the true feelings of their heart and not hide them. This way, they will be able to find the true love in their lives and will also be able to ensure the safety of each other from the enemies.

Hi, I am working my way through the Victorian Rebels currently, and am simply amazed as how each story is individual yet linked by the characters. Who would I like in my ‘corner’? Christopher Argent I think. Wonderful writing by this author, can’t wait to read many more. Janis (Plymouth, U.K.)
