Marie Force, born Marie Jean Sullivan, was born in Newport, Rhode Island in The United states. She grew up in a humble family, with her father running an aviation repair business while her mother worked as a bookkeeper. Marie attended Middletown High school in 1984. Upon graduation, she pursued a bachelor’s degree in journalism at the University of Rhode. She successfully graduated in 1988 and secured her first job as a writer at a community newspaper. She later earned a master’s degree at the University of Maryland after being married to a soldier. She has since been married for 22 years to Dan Force and is a mother of two, a girl and a boy. Marie has since worked with the Washington Post, National trade magazine besides supervising numerous publications. She is a renowned and accomplished writer who has earned an enviable position in the New York Times, The Wall street Journal and The USA today. In 2008, she published her first book-Line of Scrimmage and that was her first step to a thousand miles. While sticking to her genre, contemporary romance and romantic suspense, she has sold over 4 million books making them the bestsellers in The New York Times. She is the author of 40 contemporary Romance books including the all times best seller, Gansett Island Series, the Fatal series and The green mountain series. Most of her books have been inspired by her environment. She has made a significant contribution to the romantic world and instilled interest in many young writers who have since followed suit.

The Gansett Island series

Marie’s Gansett Island is the most recent book in her series. This particular book has sold a record 2.5 million copies and more are yet to be sold. With stories unfolding chronologically, the series has left lovers of romance publications with an insatiable appetite for more.

Maid for love

This is the first book in the series. It is a fictional story about Maddie Chester who was determined to leave her home in of Gansett Island where she has had haunting memories and bad rumors. On her way to McCarthy’s resort for her housekeeping job with her, she is knocked down by Gansett’s son, Mac, who was returning to town to help his father with selling the resort. This caused her a bad injury which made him move in to watch her health besides helping her raise her young son. He thereafter realized that his plans were flawed and had probably acted as maid for love

Full for Love

The second book in this series is about the owner of Gansett Ferry Company, Joe Cantrell who was in love with Janey McCarthy. Things went wrong for Janey and David Lawrence who was training as a doctor while dating. She then decides to call Joe, who was a better friend. She then decides to stay with Joy for a few days before leaving for home and breaking news of her break up to her parents. Could this stay brew something for the future between the two?

The Green Mountain Series

All You Need Is Love

The locals cherish the family-run Green Mountain Country Store as a reminder of simpler times, a situation which the Abbott children are determined not to change contrary to their father’s plan. Cameron Murphy imagines a more relaxed trip when she heads to Vermont to build a website for her new client something which she does not get. She collides with the town moose where she wrecks her car, she then meets the most handsome hero she has never seen before, unfortunately for her the savior who is will Abbott is also the son of her client, and he does not want anything to do with the new website or it being designed and developed by the city girl.

What Will cares is that Cameron can walk her fancy boots out of the town and out of his family’s business, however Abbott cannot seem to get Cameron out of his mind, the chemistry between the two increases as the Abbot’s family’s dispute heats up, leaving them to wonder if simple is much better after all, especially when it concerns matters of the heart.

I want To Hold Your Hand

It has been approximately seven years now since Hannah Abbott Guthrie lost her husband in Iraq and she is not sure whether she is ready or able to move on with a relationship, however for the first time attentions of her long life friend makes her think about it for the first time since her husband’s death. She still remembers the sweet kiss she shared with Nolan Roberts but also she is afraid of pursuing something with him thinking that this will mean betrayal to her husband’s memory. Nolan has been giving Hannah the space she needed to help her heal from her devastating loss besides having loved her. Nolan cannot resist now that the opportunity has arisen for him to show her how he feels, he has to prove to Hannah that it is possible to find love twice in a life time.

The Fatal Series

Marie force is a great writer who has written a couple of wonderful love stories some of which could actually be real life experiences with some couples today.

The fatal affair

It all began on a wonderful morning when Nick walked into his best friend’s house, senator John thinking that he had overslept and not heard the alarm when he found him dead with a knife wound on his neck and his private part chopped off and put I his mouth. As his chief of staff he needed to wake him up so that he could go to his office for a vote on immigration law that he had spent the entire year working on after proposing it. After he called the police, the case was taken by detective Sam Holland a one-time girlfriend he thought he would never see again. As the investigation went on they decided to go to John’s parents to let them know of their son’s murder.

Sam now began working on John’s case and investigating on anything she could lay her hands on, meanwhile nick tells her that she would not find anything on john since he was a very nice guy only to find out that john had kept a lot of secrets from him including a son he had with a woman when he was sixteen years old. Sam, who was now surprised and very uncomfortable, seeing Nick again, tries to keep her distance but fails. They soon start having sex and Nick later confesses that he loved her and the story continues. This is one novel that everyone will enjoy fully, at some point I even thought of myself as Nick.

Fatal justice

In this book, being the second part of the fatal series, a Supreme Court judge is killed, Sam and Nick are now in a relationship and the media is on to them. Sam has been promoted and is now a lieutenant and Nick is the US senator.

With its mystery, this second part is even more compelling than the other. The flow of the storyline is so awesome that at this point you crave for a third copy in the series.
