Ruth Cardello is a USA Today and New York Times bestselling author. She has written a number of successful novels based on the romance and contemporary genres, under different series. Her success as an established author is a story in itself, as she had to overcome a lot of hurdles in her life right from her childhood days. Ruth was born as the youngest child among her eleven siblings. She was born and brought up in a small city in the northern region of the Rhode Island. Facing problems to adjust to the restrictions of a large family, she spent most of her adult growing years away from her family. Mostly, she tried to live as far away from her extended family as she could as she did not want to add to the burden of her family. Therefore, Ruth kept on changing places in search of some or the other means of livelihood. She has lived in places like Orlando, Boston, New York and Paris. After roaming in different places for a few years, Ruth returned back to her hometown in Rhode Island.

As of today, Ruth lives happily in another town in Rhode Island close to where she was born and raised. The first novel of the series was titled ‘Maid for the Billionaire’. It was published by the Smashwords publishing house in the year 2011. The plot of the novel is set in Boston, Massachusetts, United States and Isola Santos, Italy, and revolves around the life of the main characters Abigail Dartley and Dominic Corisi. The opening sequence of the novel shows Dominic Corisi being distracted by the presence of Abigail Dartley. He always knew that she was that he was always looking for in his life. He thinks that he has persuaded her a little bit more than he should have. When he is asked to go to China on a business trip, he decides to take Abigail with him. He put his terms before her and tells her that there will not be any promises or any complications between them. He also tells her that he is only interested in having sex with her on most days of their trip. Abigail has been described by the author as a lady who does not like to take risks. She remains very cautious while dealing with men, but forgets everything after meeting Dominic. She seems to be fascinated by his intoxicating and infuriating attitude. The trip to China brings Dominic closer to Abigail, however, he faces a great threat to his company. Abigail gets stuck between deciding to influence the outcome of her venture and save Dominic’s company and accepting her role as the mistress and leave everything to fate. The plot of the second novel is set in New York City, New York, United States and deals with the lives of the main characters named Stephan Andrade and Nicole Corisi. The opening plot of the novel depicts Nicole Corisi on the verge of losing her inheritance due to the terms mentioned in her father’s will. She is desperate to find a way to get her fair share of inheritance, but the only way possible is by partnering with her estranged brother’s enemy. At one point, Nicole finds herself stuck between choosing either Stephan Andrade or her family, which is on the verge of getting destroyed by Stephan’s evil plans. The motive behind Stephan’s plans for trying to destroy NIcole’s family is to take revenge from Dominic Corisi, who had taken over his father’s company. As the Corisi Enterprises tries to gamble with their reputation by showing interest in a networking software from China, Stephan thinks of it as the perfect opportunity to destroy Dominic’s company. Nicole, who is Dominic’s sister, tries to take help from Stephan for saving her brother’s company from getting destroyed, but Stephan has some other plans and hopes of taking his revenge personally. But, things take a different turn when he falls in love with Nicole Corisi.
