The series consists of a couple of novels, which were published in the years 2010 and 2013. The first novel of the series was titled ‘Grand Central Arena’ and was published by the Baen publishing house in the year 2010. The plot of the deals with the imaginary space world where the main characters Ariane Austin, Dr. Simon Sandrisson and Marc C. DuQuesne, work together in a space vessel. In the opening plot of the novel, Ariane Austin is introduced as a pilot, who is depicted as trying to take a test flight of the space vessel. The flight was just a simple test flight for Ariane Austin to get the feel of the system as she was boarded on the vessel as the last minute back-up and had to understand the system of the vessel. She was introduced as an intelligent, extremely fast and was completely capable of handling the test activation. However, when the Sandrisson Drive was activated, all the automated systems of the vessel named Holy Grail crashed, even the nuclear reactor was shut down due to the crashing. It was due to the quick reflexes of the pilot Adriane Austin and her efficient training that helped to save the test vessel from colliding with and impossible wall that had appeared in front of them, and get destroyed. The wall was considered to a part of a monstrous surrounding spread over the space of 20 thousand kilometers across. As all the system of the vessel and the artificial intelligences had failed and the nuclear reactor being dead, the crew members of the vessel had to look for some other power source to start the Sandrisson Drive and take the vessel home. However, it was just the beginning of a long journey as the crew members of the vessel discovered that they were not alone and had the company of aliens in a place called The Arena. The only way to take themselves home safely was by joining hands with one of the alien factions. The other way to get themselves out from the place was to follow the rule of The Arena and recognize themselves as a faction. The rules were quite tough and failing them would result in death or even worse conditions for the human race. Being surrounded by deadly alien factions having secret plans and strange magical powers, Ariane decides to play the game by its rules and beat them. She is supported by the genius of Simon Sandrisson and the strategies of DuQuesne and is determined to bring the Holy Grail home by beating the factions of the Arena.

The second novel of the series was published in the year 2013 by the Baen publishing house under the title ‘Spheres of Influence’. In this novel, Adriane Austin is introduced as the captain of the Holy Grail. Due to her heroics in beating the alien factions of the Arena and bringing the Holy Grail home, she was considered to the leader of the faction of humanity. Her attempts with the help of the crew members of the Holy Grail had led to the adventure of an impossible and physics violating space and their heroic return from there. Now, being the leader of the humanity faction, Ariane is required to discover the true meaning of being a leader for both humanity and herself. She is always remains on the hunt by her enemies, who try to kill and depose her. In order to save herself from the wrath of her enemies, she requires the support of DuQuesne’s efficient strategies and Simon Sandrisson’s genius along with her own peerless skills.
