Susan Kiernan-Lewis is one of the bestselling authors from America who is famous for writing a number of highly successful novels based on the literature & fiction, mystery, thriller, science fiction, and fantasy, cozy mystery, and romantic suspense genres. She was born in Patrick in The United States. Other than being a successful writer, author Susan has also been a copywriter, equestrienne, video producer, and playwright. She has written most of her novels by mixing the elements of her passions for horses, traveling, cooking, and France. And most of the novels written by her usually feature a female protagonist with an adventurous characteristic. Author Susan always describes her female protagonists as facing new challenges and dangerous situations. The most popular fiction series written by her include The Irish End Games Series, the Maggie Newsberry Mystery Series, the Mia Kamaroff Mystery series, as well as a time travel series based on the historical romance genre.

Author Susan says that she has a military dependant background and because of that she tends to be restless in nature. As a result, she moves to a number of places quite frequently. She says that she has lived in as many as 40 places throughout her life so far. This is the reason why each and every book written by her involves a central character, who gets dropped in one of the foreign environments. These female protagonists are usually average, everyday women who go on to learn what their courage and strength are capable in the right circumstances. Author Susan has always tried to keep her fascination with the theme of a strange person being made to function in an unfamiliar land. In doing so, she has tried moving into the world of time travels, which she considers to be the ultimate foreign environment.

Susan very often gets intrigued by that of the personality of a person which he or she shows while trying to assimilate in a new situation or place. And having had the opportunity of doing this for so many times in her life, while changing schools, friends, and billet, author Susan finds that she longs for the excitement that is offered by a new situation. She understands the fact very well that ex-military dependents have only two options in their lives, either to settle in one place after moving frequently, or keep moving again and again. In whatever situation that she is, author Susan uses her fiction to fulfill her desire of being in some exotic and different place. She is very much grateful for her husband, who helps her in getting her novels published and sold to popular publishing houses. Author Susan remains in touch with her fans quite frequently through the social platforms. As of today, she lives happily along with her husband in her house located in Ponte Vedra, Florida.

One of the successful novel series written by author Susan Kiernan-Lewis is called as ‘The Irish End Game Series’, which is comprised of a total of 7 books published between the years 2001 and 2015. The first novel of this series was released under the title ‘Free Falling’. It was published by the San Marco publishing house in the year 2001. The plot of this novel is set in Jacksonville, Florida, and Ireland, and revolves around the happenings in the lives of the central characters named David Woodson, Sarah Woodson, and John Woodson. In the opening sequence of the plot of the novel, it is shown that Sarah and David Woodson go on a much needed vacation along with their 10 year old son named John. During the vacation, they intend to spend some relaxing time in a remote spot so that they can get a break from their artificial busy world in Jacksonville, Florida. Soon, they go on to settle in a small, rustic, rural cottage in a far away place near the Irish coast. It does not take the family much time to get involved in an international incident because of which they get stranded. They can think of none other than themselves for surviving in the unknown country. They face a number of looters, opportunists, and face starvation. Throughout the course of their difficult times, the Woodson family learns the important things of life in a hard way. Now, they are required to give away their corporate and modern ways of living and learn to use the orthodox measures for their survival. Without having the luxuries of the internet, cars, telephones, and electricity, the Woodson has to take desperate measures for coming out alive among the other desperate ones at any cost.

The second novel of the series written by author Susan Kiernan-Lewis was published under the title ‘Going Gone’. It was released by the San Marco Press publishing house in the year 2013. The plot of this novel is set in England and Ireland, and revolves around the happenings in the lives of the main characters named Sarah Woodson and David Woodson. In the opening sequence of the plot of the novel, it is shown that the Woodson family is taken brutally near the Irish Sea and Sarah is made to face the horror of the sex slave trade during the post apocalyptic time. She seems determined to escape from her captors, which includes a monster who has promised himself not to let her go out alive from England. Sarah decides to run away and survive the almost impossible and difficult journey of more than 1000 miles through the wilderness Welsh and use all the resources that she could so as to reach back home again. The plot of this novel appears to be a tale of adventure and the heart stopping description of the resilient human spirit, as well as the unfathomable depths of the love of a mother. The novel went on to become highly successful all over the world, just like the first novel of the series. This helped author Susan to gain a lot of praises from the critics and readers, as well as her fellow authors. The motivation and encouragement that she received from the success of this novel helped her to write the other novels of the series as well as the other novel series.
