The second novel of the Ten Beach Road series written by Wendy Wax was published under the title ‘Ocean Beach’. It was released by the Berkley publishing house in the year 2012. With this novel, author Wendy Wax has once again tried to give a warm and wry description of the happenings in the lives of the three women named Nicole, Madeline, and Avery. In this novel, she has depicted that the three women look for a second chance in their lives after their terrible experience in the first novel of the series, for setting the things straight and moving ahead. In the opening sequence of the plot of the novel, the newly become and unlikely friends Avery, Madeline, and Nicole are depicted as hitting some speed bumps that help them to overcome the disasters in their lives. But, on arriving at the South Beach neighborhood in Miami, they realize that they have to go through a do-over for themselves as well as for the historic beachfront house. Actually, they are hired to bring an historic house back to its glory which was once considered a grand mansion. The efforts of Nicole, Avery, and Madeline were going to be captured and showed on a television known a Do-Over. If the three women are able to get the show Do-Over off the ground successfully, then Nicole will be able to improve her financial condition. Even Madeline and Avery will get something to cheer in their otherwise boring and struggling life. With the money, Avery will be able to restart her career that was ruined in the first novel of the series, and Madeline will get the chance to keep her family together.

All these are the plans of the three women, but soon they realize that being broadcast on television for their work is one thing and letting their personal lives shown to the outside world through television is an entirely different thing. After this dilemma, they find themselves struggling to hold each other in position as well as the project. To make matters worse for them, they also get involved in a decade old mystery. Now, as the hurricane seems to loom, the three women are forced to think about ways with which they can get themselves out of the storm.
