After this Lebbon and his wife Tracey moved back to the country and this was a good thing they did, according to Tim. They have two kids now named Ellie and Daniel and they live in Goytre in Monmouthshire Goytre in Monmouthshire in a little village. According to him the place is very lovely and beautiful, and it has school, chip shop, pub and they are very happy. He has used the countryside close to his home in many of his writings. Author Lebbon has been writing stories since his childhood, with first story finishing when he was nine years old. The story involved about hijacking of a train and in the story one of the hijackers makes a mistake and drops his gun. The hero then finds the gun and kills everyone in a Die Hard style. According to the author Tim Lebbon he began to write close to nine million novels when he was a teen, but not a single one of them was finished. The stories varied from all backgrounds, like it had the disaster style of ’70s or some contained the action adventures from the World War 2. He was just thinking of all sorts of genre and then he wrote his first horror story at the age of twenty. The name of the story was ‘Black Heart’ and Tim says it is still somewhere hidden and will be forever.

Author Lebbon’s first story that got published was ‘Psychotrope’ in the year 1994 by the UK indie magazine. ‘Mesmer’ was the first novel of author Tim Lebbon that was published. It came out in the year 1997 and the publication was Tanjen. Since then there have been more than thirty books written and published by him the United Kingdom and the United States. The publications include Cemetery Dance, PS Publishing, Simon & Schuster, Bantam Spectra, Necessary Evil Press, Night Shade Books, Leisure Books, Allison & Busby, and many others. Tim has begun writing on a full-time basis since 2006 and is going very well for him. Some of his novels and novellas have been adapted for the big screen and some of them are White, The Nature of Balance, In Perpetuiry, Face, Until She Sleeps, and Exorcising Angels. Tim Lebbon won the Bram Stoker Award in the year 2001 in the category of Best Short Fiction for his short story titled ‘Reconstructing Amy’. Later in the year 2006, the British Fantasy Society gave him the August Derleth Award for his novel ‘Dusk’. Things that Tim Lebbon loves are reading, writing, cake, chocolate, triathlon, good movies and sometimes occasional bad movies, and real ale. He has a dog of the size of a donkey and the name of the dog is Blu. He has written tie-in projects for 30 Days of Night, Hellboy, Star Wars, The Cabin in the Woods, and Alien. One of his short stories, ‘Pay the Ghost’ has been made into a movie starring Sarah Wayne Callies and Nicolas Cage and there are other projects too that are in development. Tim says that many more projects will be coming in the future.

Among all the books written by author Lebbon, one of them is ‘Berserk’. The book was published by Leisure Books on 3rd January 2006. A dangerous experiment is done by the military on the Salisbury Plain of England. During the experiment something happens and the experiment goes fatally awry, causing the death of a dew dozen soldiers along with other victims. In order to keep this a secret the authorities secretly and hastily bury all the bodies and made sure it is never to be found by anyone. One of the soldier’s body is returned to his parents. The name of the soldier in Steven, but the coffin sent by the authorities is empty. It has been ten years since that incident and Tom, father of Steven is still grieving at the loss of his son. On one night he is sitting in a pub and overhears two soldiers talking about that night of the incidents. During this talk Tom comes to know that the mass burial site is not far from the pub. Because of this Tom goes to find the place of burial of Steven and excavates the site. But after the excavation Tom finds the moldering corpse of a little girl instead of his son’s remains. This leads to the revelations of more nastiness and tells how people have lost humanity. The book is really exciting to read and the content is excellent that keeps you always in suspense of what will happen next.

Another book written by Lebbon is ‘The Reach of Children’ and was published by Humdrumming on 19th September of 2008. This book is a story of a ten-year old kid named Daniel. He is woken up by his father stating that her mother has passed away. Daniel and his father are trying to fill the void that has been created by the death his mother and Gary, his father’s good friend helps them in this matter. But as the time passes Daniel starts to feel something weird about his father. He hears some whispers coming his father’s bedroom, like he is talking to someone. At the same time his father starts to drink heavily and Daniel finds out that his father is talking to a box. He goes to find what’s inside that and discovers that the box is located under the bed on which his mother died. Daniel taps on the box and a sound of tapping back comes from it. He thinks that it is an echo. But when he visits the box again he hears a voice. The voice is familiar to Daniel and the box speaks things that a stranger couldn’t know. The book is a mystery and creepy at the same time. Lebbon has given written this novel and has won the British Fantasy Award.
