Diana Rowland is the renowned prolific writer of some of the best selling urban fantasy and science fiction novels. Hailing from South Lousiana, Rowland lives with her husband and a daughter. Rowland attended Georgia Tech where she studied Applied Mathematics but did not pursue higher math upon graduation. She worked as a street cop, a bartender, a pit boss, a detective, a crime investigator, a computer forensics specialist, a morgue assistant and as a blackjack dealer. Her experience in the different jobs enabled her to experience what humans can do for survival. Rowland won a marksmanship award during her Police Academy class. She also has a black belt in Hapkido. She graduated from Clarion West Writers Workshop in 1998 and proceeded to win first place in Writers of the Future contest. Rowland is known for writing fascinating and groundbreaking fictions such as “Schroedinger’s Hummingbird which she won an award for on the Writers of the Future contest. Angel Crawford is a high school dropout who lives with her alcoholic deadbeat father in the southern Louisiana swamps. Angel has many problems since she has a pill habit as well as a criminal record on her back. She has been fired from jobs severally and now she is on probation for committing a felony. Angel’s life seems to be taking a downward spiral. A twist of events happens when one day Angel overdoses on painkillers and wakes up in the ER. She had been in a terrible car crash but surprisingly doesn’t have a mark on her body a situation she finds weird. To make the matters even more intriguing, she receives a letter from an anonymous source informing her of a job she will do at the parish morgue. In her situation, it is an offer she cannot pass out on. Ultimately, Angel has a crush on a hunky deputy and her new addiction is a craving for brains. However, her morgue is full of victims of a bloody serial killer who ruthlessly decapitates his prey when hungry. Angel has to grow up fast and keep her job otherwise she may die. Though she is getting used to the life of a brain-eating zombie, her problems are growing each day. From the haunting felony record to the popping up hunters Angel is in deep trouble. She is even contemplating on investigating if her cop-boyfriend is a zombie mafia. Her cop boyfriend is seen as a Mystery Magnet who despite the amazing number and variety of murders that occurs wherever he or she happens to be, he is rarely — if ever — suspected of any complicity. This tale of treachery and love entwines with mystery amid murders.

Angel may need more brainpower to get through. When the zombie movie starts filming, Angel realizes that the plot of the movie is rotten and not just that as things have now changed. She begins to fight real and fake zombies, bullets, blood and mud and she will need more brain strength to fit the pieces, body parts just to save her and the human race. With every progression in the story more unexpected events take place including kidnapping and murder and one can only read more. Soon key members of the Zombie Mafia go missing and Angel thinks Saberton Corporation is responsible for the disappearances and fears that there could be a far deeper conspiracy at work. Angel joins forces with a number of friends to track the missing zombies. The story of how Angel crawls from a seedy bar to high society cocktail through corporate intrigue and undead trafficking is simply amazing. Diana Rowland has managed to keep Angel a likable underdog who is striving to succeed and overcome poverty and dyslexia. Rowland has incorporated emotionally touching adventures for the heroine with a touch of creepy and scary to keep the story entertaining. Mystery, humor, horror and romance make the novel a hilarious mix of brilliant story.
Mark of the Demon
Kara Gillian is a hard working and not the average detective in Beaulac, Louisiana. However one day as she was carrying out a routine summoning, Rhyzkahl, and angelic creature, appeared and she was desperate for help. Kara was bent on using her occult skills to catch the bloody serial killer who was disturbing the peace of the town. He had never conjured the serial killer would be an unearthly beautiful and powerful being. A touch of the creature would set off exquisite new varieties of pleasure. However, Kara has to get the creature to help her catch the killer who has already killed thirteen people.
