Diana Rowland is the renowned prolific writer of some of the best selling urban fantasy and science fiction novels. Hailing from South Lousiana, Rowland lives with her husband and a daughter. Rowland attended Georgia Tech where she studied Applied Mathematics but did not pursue higher math upon graduation. Angel Crawford is a high school dropout who lives with her alcoholic deadbeat father in the southern Louisiana swamps. In her situation, it is an offer she cannot pass out on. Ultimately, Angel has a crush on a hunky deputy and her new addiction is a craving for brains. However, her morgue is full of victims of a bloody serial killer who ruthlessly decapitates his prey when hungry. Angel has to grow up fast and keep her job otherwise she may die. Though she is getting used to the life of a brain-eating zombie, her problems are growing each day. From the haunting felony record to the popping up hunters Angel is in deep trouble. She is even contemplating on investigating if her cop-boyfriend is a zombie mafia. Her cop boyfriend is seen as a Mystery Magnet who despite the amazing number and variety of murders that occurs wherever he or she happens to be, he is rarely — if ever — suspected of any complicity. This tale of treachery and love entwines with mystery amid murders.

Angel joins forces with a number of friends to track the missing zombies. The story of how Angel crawls from a seedy bar to high society cocktail through corporate intrigue and undead trafficking is simply amazing. Diana Rowland has managed to keep Angel a likable underdog who is striving to succeed and overcome poverty and dyslexia. Rowland has incorporated emotionally touching adventures for the heroine with a touch of creepy and scary to keep the story entertaining. Mystery, humor, horror and romance make the novel a hilarious mix of brilliant story.

Mark of the Demon

Kara Gillian is a hard working and not the average detective in Beaulac, Louisiana. However one day as she was carrying out a routine summoning, Rhyzkahl, and angelic creature, appeared and she was desperate for help. Kara was bent on using her occult skills to catch the bloody serial killer who was disturbing the peace of the town. He had never conjured the serial killer would be an unearthly beautiful and powerful being. A touch of the creature would set off exquisite new varieties of pleasure.
