B.M. Carroll is an author who also writes under the pen name Ber Carroll.

The author was born in a small village in Ireland known as Blarney. She was the third child born out of six total. When she was younger, reading was her favorite thing to do and still is.

She moved to Sydney in 1995, spending a lot of her early career working in finance. All of the colleagues that she worked with had no words when the author revealed that she wrote a novel that would be published soon. Now she writes on a full time basis.

Throughout the years, the author’s writing has become more darker and twisted, something that she says reflects her state of mind. She is known for writing books such as her 2018 novel The Missing Pieces of Sophie McCarthy as well as other books such as Who We Were and You Had It Coming. Her writing has been considered for different awards, making the shortlist for the Ned Kelly Awards for Best Crime Fiction as well as the Davitt Awards for Best Adult Fiction.
