I would like to have a discussion with someone reading or have read J.D. Dobbs’s “in Death” series. I am interested in others’ ideas about Eve’s thoughts and behaviors. I would like to talk about the relationship with husband. There are no book clubs anymore. Zoom just isn’t the same.

I have read all of the “In Death” Series many times. I can almost recite them. Eve has changed a lot over the years. I think she has grown, as a person, many times over. Her relationship with Roark is something else. He is the backbone of the marriage. My opinion. Be glad to discuss more

I have read every one of J. b. Robb death books and love them all. They make you laugh and cry . She really did an amazing job on the books.
I am looking for another series like the the Death series. I have been through the Alex Cross, Quinn, Colson, women’s club, NYPD blue, private, Bosch and I Spencer.
Has anyone have any good choices to read next.

I really like the Will Trent series, but the TV show just does not meet the way I saw them in my head as I was listening to them.
            I will continue the series.

I have read the majority of the “In Death” series as well as listened to the last few on audible. I prefer to listen to them on Audible. I love JDRobb!!! I wish she could write more than 2 a year. Any other authors you follow? I have a book of my favorite authors and the titles I have read. Oh, btw, I’m from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Read a simple series at least 40 years ago, of a ‘mature’ woman who retired to a farm or country life, either in the British Isles or the Maritimes. Lost for the author or titles, can anyone recall any identifying details?

You might also consider A New Kind of Country by Dorothy Gilman, the author of the Mrs. Pollifax novels. It was published in 1978 and is about her move to a small fishing village in Nova Scotia.

Can anyone help me with the name???? I read a series of Fictional books while living in London in the early 1990’s all published before then, there was a least 8 books. It was a woman author and I think the main character was a nurse or a housewife but she goes to the Great Ormond street hospital. It was all very mundane and simple but I loved them. I think the books are set in WW2 or shortly there after. I think the author’s name was Carol or maybe that was the characters name.

I just read a series in post apocalyptic fiction and I can’t remember the series name or author. A massive solar flare wiped out communications. Main characters are a grumpy old man, a veteran, a woman who runs an exotic dance place and hooks up with vet. Bunch of family added to their prepped farm or ranch. 2 genius twin teenagers who work on electronics for the ranch. The veteran brings in some friends from the service who are loaded for bear. Anyone have an idea?

I know it may be a long shot but I recall reading a book series about an old man from Korea (named Chun I think, and Im not sure but I think from North Korea) who used to travel with an American apprentice and they worked for the US Government. There were at least 100 books in the series. I believe it was set in the 70s. I am dying to read it again but can’t remember the name. Can anyone help?

Need help? I’m quite sure John Saul authored this book I read yrs. ago (forgot the title) about a mature dog found in the woods and adopted by a man who realizes that this dog has mystical powers and respected by other animals and has an understanding of human interaction. The dog is somewhat of a “god” in the animal kingdom. Would anyone know the title / author?

I see no Harry Dresden listed here. 16 or 17 books, great fan base and character. Books 1 – 3 are not great but the series gets better and is excellent where it currently sits. Jim Butcher is the Author.
