Hugo Vickers is an English author and a broadcaster.

Born on November 12, 1951, Hugo is known for having written biographies that tell the life stories of many different figures from the 20th century. These include the Queen Mother, Vivien Leigh, Cecil Beaton, Duchess of Marlborough, Princess Andrew of Greece, and many more.

He is the son of Ralph Cecil Vickers, who was a stockbroker and a senior partner in the Vickers, da Costa firm thanks to his marriage. Vickers was born in Lambeth and pursued his education at Eton before moving on to Strasbourg University. Hugo has a younger sister named Imogen and his aunt was Baroness Vickers, a politician. He also is a liveryman with the Worshipful Company of Musicians.
