She was born in London, but says that she spent most of her adult life living in New York. These days, she lives in Grenada in the Caribbean. The author says that she is happily married and has two daughters, both now grown.

She is the author of such series as the Tabitha & Wolf Historical Mysteries series and her series The Continental Capers of Melody Chesterton. Sarah says that these types of books are just like the kind that she likes to read while having a lazy Sunday. They are in the historical mystery genre and feature strong female characters who are as intelligent as they are independent.

Sarah has always enjoyed historical novels that are the type to highlight some injustices of the time and even attempt to remedy them. It doesn’t matter whether the topic is inequality for women, poverty, or bad labor laws, Noel recounts that her characters must face the ‘grim realities of their times’ head-on. She also notes that despite this, her books are also fun, and they include cute orphans, exasperating dowagers, and heroes that are just as roguish as they are charming.

Sarah very much enjoys writing her books and hopes that readers like to read them just as much as she liked to write them.

Main character Tabitha is known as Lady Chesterton and is the Countess of Pembroke. She has just become a widow and is only twenty-two years old. She does not have a son in her life to inherit the title, so it ends up going to a distant cousin of her husband’s. This would be the dashing Jeremy Chesterton, who is known as ‘Wolf’.

It soon becomes clear that Wolf was dealing with some of the most dangerous citizens in London prior to inheriting this title. Will he be able to leave that world behind him? Or will figures from the past end up going with him into his new aristocratic existence and saturate into his life at Mayfair? Can Tabitha manage to not get caught up in everything that Wolf is doing or will she inevitably be affected?

It appears that it is at last time for Tabitha to take flight and leave the gilded cage behind her.
