A.K. Caggiano is an American published indie author.
She was born in Boston on July 23, 1987. She likes writing what she calls silly little stories that she hopes will bring the readers joy. She enjoys a lot of things including guacamole, cats, feminism, and the Internet.
The author also likes books and the color purple. She does not like book bans, people who dislike cats and make it a huge part of their personality, and the fact that cars today largely come in the most boring colors in the world. She is against both AI and fascism. A.K. also says that she likes when spooky stuff is made cute and she loves to find out new things that are able to make her laugh.
Caggiano describes herself as wanting to be an author from the moment that she first picked up a pencil and was able to put down a full sentence. She relates that her handwriting has not gotten any better but some of her ideas have and she is able to do it for a living now so that must mean that she is doing something right. She is a hybrid author which allows herself to self-publish and also publish traditionally.
The author says that she considers every book that she does to be an experiment but the goal remains the same each time: to bring joy to her readers. A.K. says that she mostly writes romantic comedies but because she is always wanting to add magic into everything, they usually end up turning into fantasy romantic comedies. She wants her readers to enjoy her books and says that if you’re reading one of her books and you’re wondering whether or not you’re supposed to be laughing, the answer is yes.
A.K. resides in the state of Vermont. She is married and lives there with her husband as well as their cat and a small flock of chickens.
Throne in the Dark is the first book in the Villains & Virtues series by A.K. Caggiano. If you love a good book in the fantasy romance genre and love the enemies to lovers trope in a romance, you’ll probably like this book.
Damien has a dark destiny waiting for him, and he is confident that nothing is going to be able to get in his way. Except for her.
Damien Maleficus Bloodthorne has a demon for his father. So it only stands to reason that his fate was always going to be something nefarious. With his most vicious spell now completed, Damien is at last on the verge of coming through and fulfilling all of the evil that his dark machinations have led to and prepared him for.
Then he ended up meeting her, a woman who was as bubbly and blonde as she was obnoxious. She was a small thief who was hiding secrets of her own and went by the name of Amma. She upsets all of his evil plans when she accidentally gets chained to his side through magic. This means that he’s going to have to drag her all across the realm.
Damien knows that the easiest way to fix all of this would be to kill her, but it turns out that Amma is more useful than he would’ve thought. She is so sweet that it makes him sick, but she also is useful to his unholy crusade. Then she shows that she could be the source of something even more sinister than anything he has come across yet: feelings.
Must Damien have to leave behind his birthright as a villain to try and help out this woman who is nice but also a thorn in his side? Will he be able to overcome the virtuous side of himself that Amma wants to bring out and cut it out early so that he can get on with things? Read this fantasy romance to find out!
Summoned to the Wilds is the second book in the Villains & Virtues series by A.K. Caggiano. If you love light fantasy romances that are just as fun to read as eating candy (and goes great with candy, by the way), check out this book and go on an escape that costs far less than any modern vacation and is just as satisfying.
Lady Ammalie Avington promised that she would be obedient, dutiful, and loyal in a partnership, but she doesn’t always know all of the facts. She is the Baroness of Faebarrow and now has found out the truth that should not be so surprising but somehow still is.
It turns out that the blood mage who kidnapped her friends after threatening them and performing spells on them is about to bring the realm to ruin. It’s the very same one that she has promised to serve. It’s just an inconvenient thing for her to find out about because outside of that she has to admit that she finds him pretty cute.
Despite all of this, she knows that it’s not exactly wise to be crushing on someone who is the son of a demon. Especially when you’re locked up in a tower, trapped on the ground in a vampire den, or in the heart of a jungle while being taught by witches. Amma feels that she just isn’t able to keep herself held back when she’s around Damien Maleficus Bloodthorne.
It seems dangerous, but she also wonders whether it is as dangerous as it appears. His heart’s been softening around her, and sometimes a strange smoke comes out of his hands. He gets a far away look in his eyes sometimes, and there’s even a voice that is telling him he’s meant to be a vessel. Maybe all of this is a bad dream?
After getting a taste of freedom and finding out that Amma might have ancient magical powers, Damien thinks she should just use them to do what she pleases. Can they be together or are the pair destined to be apart? Read this romantic fantasy in the Villains & Virtues series by A.K. Caggiano to find out!
