Dete Meserve is a best-selling novelist as well as an award-winning creator and producer of television series and films.

Her debut novel was titled Good Sam and she adapted it into a screenplay and produced it for Netflix as well. Her passion for storytelling also comes from her work as an owner of Silver Creek Falls Entertainment. The production company is based out of Los Angeles and there she has produced all types of things from large budget dramas and mysteries to comedies full of stars as well as an animated series.

She was inspired to write her fifth novel The Memory Collectors thanks to a question posed by readers that asked what one would do if they were able to spend an hour in their own personal past. The book explores this universal desire to go back to pivotal moments in our lives, where we could relive a happy memory, undo a horrible mistake, or connect once more with a loved one.

Dete is also the author of the Kate Bradley Mystery series. The first nonfiction book that she wrote was titled Random Acts of Kindness and was written along with the journalist Rachel Greco. It is currently in development to become a feature film.

When Dete is not busy writing or producing, she is a film and television producer in Los Angeles. You can also find her out in nature exploring or in a local bookstore or library perusing the shelves. She is a native of Chicago and has resided for the majority of her life in Los Angeles. There she has raised three children with her husband and she also shares her space with two cats who she describes as ‘very pampered’.

She has been an executive producer of Paramount’s What Men Want, an executive producer of PBSKids’ Ready Jet Go, and a producer and screenwriter of Netflix’s Good Sam. She has also been a producer of the DreamWorks feature film Ready Jet Go Space Camp, an executive producer of an Apple TV+ animated series, and an executive producer and showrunner of Weather Hunters for PBSKids in partnership with Al Roker Entertainment.
