Heather Critchlow is a published author.

She grew up in rural Aberdeenshire. She trained as a business journalist, before that attending university and studying history and social science.

Her debut novel was titled Unsolved and is the first in a series that was about Cal Lovett, a true crime podcaster. It made the shortlist for the Bloody Scotland Debut 2023. The second book in the series continued the series and was titled Unburied. It was followed by the third book, Unsound, the fourth book Unknown, and the fifth book Unseen.

Heather has also written short stories. They have been featured in crime fiction anthologies such as Afraid of the Light, Afraid of the Christmas Lights, and Afraid of the Shadows.

Unsolved is the first book in the Cal Lovett Files series by Heather Critchlow. Cal is not going to rest until he discovers what the truth is.

Cal has a passion for finding justice when it comes to the families of missing people. He runs a true crime podcast that is a vehicle for him to help others. It makes him feel good to offer this help to others, even if he is not able to help himself.
