Lichelle Slater is an American published author. She describes herself as a dragon trainer, someone who loves glitter, and is a fantasy writer.

She has always had a huge passion for reading. Books in her childhood which have contributed to her love for writing include the Goosebumps series, The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien, and the BFG by Roald Dahl. Some of her greatest memories include being at the library of being read to by her parents.

She has tons of love for her King Charles Spaniels, who are named Perseus after the Greek hero and Ollivander, a reference to the Harry Potter books. She also divulges that she has a horribly unhealthy addiction to gummy worms and Dr. Pepper.

Lichelle resides in Salt Lake City, Utah with her dogs and works on a full time basis as a kindergarten teacher. She has a deep love for education and one of her degrees is a bachelors degree in creative writing from Utah State University.

Daughter of Thieves is the first book in the Sands of Wonder series by Lichelle Slater. This features the character of Caspara and a gender-swapped version of the original Aladdin story.
