Lisa Cutts is a published British author.

She is the daughter of a former officer with the Metropolitan Police. Lisa got her first degree in law and then found herself working a variety of jobs in the city of London as well as around the South East area. She then became a police officer in 1996. Lisa would go on to get another degree in the field of applied criminal investigation.

Today she is married. Her husband is a retired police officer and they reside together in Kent. They live close to their step-children and their step-grandchildren, and Lisa manages to find a work and life balance with writing crime fiction and also working on a full-time basis for Kent Police, investigating murder as a detective constable.

Her debut novel is titled Never Forget, the first in the DC Nina Foster series, and it was the winner of the Writers Retreat Competition in 2012. It was also the winner of the Killer Nashville Silver Falchion Award 2014.

Lisa writes crime story novels that are enhanced with the insider knowledge that she has from the heart of the incident room. She has also written a non-fiction book, written along with Anthony and Emma Smith, who are the co-founders of the dog rescue charity Street Hearts in Bulgaria. It is titled Street Hearts: An Extraordinary Story of Saving Street Dogs.
