Sarah F. Noel is a successful published book author known for writing The Tabitha & Wolf Mystery series and the spin-off series, The Continental Capers of Melody Chesterton.

The author says that this series and the spin-off series feature the kind of books that she herself would like to read while partaking in a lazy Sunday. They are in the historical mystery genre and have female characters who are noted for being intelligent, independent, and strong.

Noel says that she has always liked historical novels that highlight the injustices of the time and try to remedy some of them. Whether these issues are poor labor laws, inequality for women, or widespread poverty, these characters all have to contend with the stark realities of their times and frequently face them head-on. Despite this, Noel also comments that are books are fun and have everything from adorable orphans to charming roguish heroes and frustrating dowagers. She hopes that her readers enjoy reading her books as much as she has enjoyed writing them.

A Venetian Escapade is the first book in The Continental Capers of Melody Chesterton, a series by Sarah F. Noel. If you love a good historical mystery novel and have been wanting to read something unique, give this book a try and be transported back into (fictional) time!

The year is 1911, and Europe is headed for war. Despite all that is going on, main character Melody Chesterton is a young woman who has the benefit of being independent in addition to a fortune that is all her own and is focusing on more ‘important’ things.

Melody wants to do more with her life than to just simply marry well and move up in the world. She is a woman who craves going on adventures that are full of excitement, perhaps with some romance thrown in along the way. She is chaperoned by her older brother Rat, who is actually secretly employed by the Secret Service Bureau of Britain. The bureau has just been formed, but Melody is none the wiser to Rat’s real job. She continues on towards the first stop of her great tour of Europe: Venice.

Melody does not know anything about what is going on with Rat, especially not the fact that he is on his first solo mission. Not only that, but he is filled with self doubt. Then his sister continues to interfere and then insists that she socialize with Conte Foscari, a man who is far too charming and extremely suspicious. Rat is full of worries, and it does not seem like they are going to be abating any time soon.

Having fun on her tour, Melody has a wonderful first impression made by Venice. Now that she has been about a bit, she is certain that Italy is the place where she will end up falling in love. Surely it only stands to reason that she will be able to find someone and then embark on a once in a lifetime adventure. This seems entirely possible, if only her older brother would stop irritating her by continually keeping an eye on her and trying to boss her around constantly.

Will Rat be able to finish his mission while still being able to look out for his younger sister, who is always getting out there and getting into things she has no business being in? It’s possible as Melody does her best to try and get about Europe and have the excursion and life experience that she’s always dreamed about. Find out what happens by getting a copy of this debut book and going on the adventure!

Mischief in Morocco is the second book in The Continental Capers of Melody Chesterton, a series by Sarah F. Noel. If you thought that the first book in this series was tons of fun, keep the adventures going by checking out the sequel and going on yet another fun ride with Melody as she takes off on another continental caper.

Melody has given her brother Rat no other choice but to take her along with him, accompanying him on his upcoming assignment for the Secret Service Bureau of Britain. Melody knows that she should likely be looking forward to going to Morocco, but that was also before she discovered that Conte Alessandro Foscari would be going with them. The man is not only handsome but charming, but Mel is still put out after the past realization that he had flirted with her just to have an excuse to keep an eye on her brother. But is that really the truth of what happened?

France and Germany keep on warmongering as they battle for control over Morocco, which is strategically important. Melody and Rat keep getting put into the center of this situation which is at risk of blowing up entirely as they work to hunt down a figure from the shadows who wants to start a conflict that could put the whole region into a state of chaos.

Melody knows that the investigation needs to be put first, but she also can’t ignore the fact that she is starting to develop feelings for Alessandro. Will she be able to make her way through this combination of betrayal, shifting alliances, and espionage? Can she potentially find love, or is this yet another ruse she has the misfortune to fall for? Read Mischief in Morocco by Sarah F. Noel to find out!
