Zanib Mian is a published author.

She grew up in London in the United Kingdom and lives there to this day. She was just a young girl when she first began writing stories and poetry. She was known by her friends, teachers and family to be able to rhyme about just about anything that meant something to her. She might even let you see some of her eagerly writing if you are lucky, which has been preserved in a safe for over two decades. However, you would have to visit her at her little Shire hobbit house in order to see it.

Zanib worked as a science teacher for a few years once she had left university. But ever since she was young she had her passion for writing stories and poetry and decided to pursue that. The author has been able to release plenty of picture books in collaboration with Sweet Apple Publishers, an independent publisher.

Planet Omar is the first time that this author has written something for older readers to enjoy. It was first released under ‘The Muslims’ and won the Little Rebels Award 2018. It was also nominated for the CILIP Carnegie Medal and shortlisted for the UKLA Award.

The Cookie Culprit is the first book in the Meet the Maliks Twin Detectives series by Zanib Mian. If you love a good book for kids that is full of great illustrations and a lot of fun, be sure to check this debut in the series out and see what you think.

Maysa and Musa Malik are related. They are twins but they are also complete opposites. They work together to make a team that is completely unstoppable, and this is even more true when they are doing their best to tackle a mystery and solve it.

Maysa tries her best, but no matter what she does, she feels like she can’t add up to Musa. Her twin is so good at being good but when she tries to be good herself, it just doesn’t work out. When she is barred from going on a school trip, she does her best to try and change her parents’ minds by participating in a cookie competition that is held at the mosque.

Things get in her way when all the cookies get destroyed. Now it is up to Maysa as well as her twin brother and their neighbor Norman to try and figure out what happened. Can they crack this mystery or are they about to find out that this one is just too tough? Anything is possible if they put their detective hats on. Can they catch the person responsible and save Maysa’s reputation in the process? Read this book to find out!

Race to Rescue is the second book in the Meet the Maliks Twin Detectives series by Zanib Mian. If you thought that the first book in this series was funny and cute, you’ll definitely want to see what hijinks the twins get into in this one!

Maysa and Musa Malik are twins, but just because they look alike does not mean that they are the same in every way. They are total opposites in a lot of ways. But when put together and trying to solve a mystery, they show that they are a team that simply cannot be stopped.

Maysa is constantly getting herself into trouble, and now she has gone and done it again and gotten into trouble once more. This time around, she has completely forgotten to post her father’s passport application and it was something that he really needed done before he takes his very important work trip.

When Imam Abdulla all of a sudden goes missing, Maysa turns to her twin brother Musa to help. They have another mystery on their hands that they want to solve, and they’re going to enlist the assistance of their neighbor Norman. When they all put their heads together, they are pretty good at getting results.

As they look for clues around the neighborhood, one thing is certain. Maysa is going to have to discover some type of way that she can save the trip her dad is going on too. Will she be able to do it or is she destined to fail? Read this second book in the series from Zanib Mian to find out!
