A normal day in the life of author Ethington is spent writing, reading, running, and spending some cherishing moments with her adorable family. Ethington’s birth into a family of theater performers helped her get a close look into the world of stage actors. She spent her initial years growing up backstage, sleeping in the theater streets, and watching numerous rehearsals. Ethington had accepted theater as her life, however, she knew that her life was not limited to performing. She wanted to become someone else so that she could imagine worlds beyond her own. It was in the 5th grade that author Ethington attempted to write her first story. Since then, she used to give out all her stories to her grandmother, who would feel very proud in reading them out. Ethington hoped that someday she would contribute to the bookstore of her grandmother. It was when her grandmother became extremely ill that Ethington started taking writing seriously. However, her first attempt did not prove fruitful. So, she had to wait for a few years for another story to develop in her head and when she finally got it, Ethington was able to complete her debut novel titled Kiss of Fire. This book had to pass through 5 drafts before it was finally published. Author Ethington has no intention of giving a halt to her literary career. In fact, she is working on the idea of developing 5 more novel series, whose initial ideas have knocked her imagination. Currently, author Ethington is writing one more novel series, called Through Glass, along with her Imdalind series. This series is also quite famous among her fans.

The Imdalind series written by Rebecca Ethington is comprised of 8 books in total, which were released between the years 2012 and 2017. Each and every novel of this series features the lead character in the role of Joclyn Despain. The first book of this series is entitled ‘Kiss of Fire’. This book was released by the Imdalind Press in the year 2012. At the start of the book, Joclyn Despain is shown as having been marred by mark on her body. She does not know how the brand mark appeared on the back of her neck. Joclyn doesn’t want the mark to be seen by anyone, not even her best friend named Ryland. He seems to have every other knowledge about Joclyn. Because of the mark, Joclyn keeps her body covered in baggy clothes. She even tries to hide her urge to kiss Ryland, no matter how desperately she wants to do it. Later, Joclyn Despain begins to get hunted and does not know why. It is only after some time she realizes that it is because of the scar mark. She had received a stone from her estranged dad on the occasion of her 16th birthday and did not know that it was cursed. Also, Joclyn didn’t realize the stone would trigger changes in her. Out of nowhere, Joclyn has acquired the strength of throwing away her school bully 10 feet in air. Everyone seems to be stunned at her miraculous power. A tall man begins to stalk Joclyn Despain and when she senses it, she tries to keep herself out of sight of the stalker. A lot questions arise in Joclyn’s head, whose answers she tries to find out. She even tries to gather the courage to listen to what her heart says. It is only when Ryland notices the scar of Joclyn’s body that she gets an idea of how to get rid of it. Ryland informs her that he knows the hidden meaning of the scar and who is the one trying to kill her for it.

The next book released in the series is called ‘Eyes of Ember’. It was also published by Imdalind Press in 2013. At the beginning of the story, it is depicted that Joclyn Despain is still being hunted by her love interest, because of which she has gone into hiding. Ryland’s mind has been erased, which has resulted in the loss of all the memories of Joclyn. He seems to have been possessed by a black-eyed monster, who attempts to kill Joclyn repeatedly. And she can do nothing except hope for a better tomorrow. A man named Ilyan comes Joclyn’s rescue. He used to stalk her once, but has now become her protector. He keeps the killers away from Joclyn and keeps her safe. Ilyan also teaches and trains her so that she could get prepared for avenging Ryland. Another important man in Joclyn’s life is her father, who has never come out to help her and is somehow responsible for all that is happening in her life.
