Elise Sax is an American author. She worked as a journalist mostly in France for fifteen years before taking a break from working in journalism. She then took a turn as a private investigator for some time before landing on trying writing fiction and really enjoying it. She currently lives in the southern area of California along with her two sons.

Sax is the author of multiple series, including the Matchmaker series which started with An Affair to Dismember in 2012 and going onto the eighth book, It Happened One Fright. She is also the author of the Wish Upon a Stud series, with Going Down being the first novel and there being five other novels in this series (as well as the omnibus of the series, released in 2015).

Sax is also the author of Forever Now, part of the Forever series. She is also the author of the Three More Wishes series, featuring Blown Away, Inn & Out, and Quick Bang, all published in 2016. Sax has also written the Operation Billionaire series, the Five Wishes series featuring Going Down and Man Candy, and the novels Bounty and Switched, both published in 2014. She has contributed to Kindle Worlds: Body Movers and Moving Violations.

The main character in An Affair to Dismember is Gladie Burger. She is the type of girl that always needs to be on the move to feel comfortable.
