An American author, Paul Vidich original worked for AOL, Inc. and the Warner Music Group before turning his had to writing. Now an award winning novelist, he’s accumulated a lot of experience which he’s put back into his work achieving a great deal of success in the process. This has allowed him to release a number of well received books in a relatively short amount of time, as his writing career continues to grow and grow.

Early and Personal Life

Born in America, the writer to be Paul Vidich would always have a love of literature, something that he carried throughout his life. This would continue as he worked as patron for the arts, regardless of the industry, as he had a strong voice to ready to establish. Building his name up, he would manage to create a strong brand for himself prior to becoming a writer, something that he would continue long after the publication of his first novel.

Attending Wesleyan University where he graduated from, he gained a Distinguished Alumni Award, as well as becoming a Trustee. Later on he also attended The Wharton School, as he went on to the University of Pennsylvania to also graduate from too. This would allow him to gain an extensive education, giving him the academic background he required for taking his career forwards.

Working in business for quite some time, he was a well established figure prior to become a full time author and novelist. He would work for some time in Time Warner, AOL, along with the Warner Music Group too, working in both music and media. Using this as the basis for much of his writing career, he would gain an extensive background in the arts, giving him an insight into his own creativity too.

Still working as a board director, as well as being an angel investor, he continues to write at a regular and ever consistent pace. Working within the field of music too, he has a strong creative output, as he has managed to establish his style over the years. This is something that will continue for a long time to come, as he has a lot more titles set to arrive on the near horizon.

Writing Career

Releasing his first book back in 2016, the writer to be Paul Vidich made his impressive debut onto the literary scene with the title ‘An Honorable Man’. This would also start up his ‘George Mueller’ series of novels set during the Cold War, with attention to the detail of the time. Focusing upon his personal interests and themes, he would create a set style from this from which he would work with in the future.

It is now the ‘George Mueller’ series for which he’s largely known, as it creates a style of Cold War paranoia that draws from the best. With a strong central character who is both resilient and human, he feels extremely real and down-to-earth in a very grounded manner. Creating a foreboding tone as well, the series really manages to highlight the ambiance of the time, giving it a very real and immediate feel.

Winning awards for his work too, he is not without recognition either, as he has managed to attract the attention of the critical establishment too. Selected by none other than ‘Publisher’s Weekly’ for being one of the Top 10 thrillers and mysteries within the year of 2016, he has come to be appreciated by many. This has also lead to the general public appreciating his work too, as many have turned to his work, leading to him getting a ‘Booklist Starred Review’ too.

Still maintaining his business profile too, he manages to operate as an adviser to various Internet media companies alongside his writing. This, along with him being an angel investor too, means he has a whole variety of extra interests and pursuits outside of being an author. With this he is then able to put it all back into his work, creating a rich and varied backlog of work for his audience.

Continuing to writer to this very day, he maintains a strong presence both online and off, both in the world of business and literature. Selected on numerous occasions to be placed in the ‘Publisher’s Weekly’, he has enjoyed a high status among both his peers and contemporaries alike. With his writing career growing from strength-to-strength he will carry on writing for many years to follow, on into the foreseeable future.

An Honorable Man

Brought out through the Atria Books publishing label, this would mark the arrival of an exciting new talent, as well as the beginning of a new series too. Released in 2016 on the 12th of April, it would begin ‘George Mueller’ series of well received thriller novels set during the Cold War. It would also introduce the main character of George Mueller himself for the first time too, as well as setting up the initial premise overall.

Set in fifties America Washington DC, this Cold War thriller follows the investigations of one George Mueller during the height of McCarthy. Looking to find a mole George Mueller is a Yale educated man who’s conducted missions in Eastern Europe, so seems to be the perfect candidate for the job. That’s when he makes contact with a Soviet agent and suspicion begins to fall on Mueller himself, as it appears that nobody is above the paranoia of the time. Will he find the real mole? Can he evade suspicion himself? What will become of an honorable man?

The Good Assassin

This time brought out through ‘Atria/Emily Bestler’ books, this was to be the second in the ‘George Mueller series of novels. Continuing on from where the previous one left off, it was first brought out on the 17th of April in 2017 to much acclaim. Developing the overall world and tone, it manages to further establish the character of George Mueller himself, taking him and his arc forwards.

Arriving in Havana in the month of August, 1958, the CIA Agent George Mueller is on the lookout for a fellow CIA agent who apparently has rebel sympathies. Set in the aftermath of the downfall of Fulgencio Batista the Cuban dictator, Mueller is hot on the trail of one Toby Graham. Believing him to have channeled weapons from the CIA to the rebels by way of Batista, Mueller submerges himself in a world of corruption, infiltration and power with alarming results. Who is at fault here? What strings are being pulled? Where is the good assassin?
