Christopher Rosow is the creator and the author of the Ben Porter series of fictional novels. This series kicked off in 2020 with the publication of the first novel, titled False Assurances. The second novel also debuted this year and is titled Threat Bias. The series features what James Patterson calls a ‘compelling new hero’ in this two book debut with Ben Porter.

False Assurances is the first novel to come out in the Ben Porter series. It’s 2017 on July 12th, in the morning. The FBI’s field office in Boston has just gotten what at first glance seems like a hoax call. A man that was rescued from off the waters of Massachusetts wants to speak with them. He says that he was on his sailboat when it was hijacked and now it is being utilized to get terrorists and weapons into America.

Even if it may be a hoax, they have to treat it as a real call. Local agents are in the middle of getting ready to receive a visit from the President in the evening in the area of downtown Boston. The official procedure is that they must respond to threats that they receive, even if it doesn’t appear to be all that reliable.

Thus Ben Porter, an administrative member of the staff with the FBI, is sent out to find out what’s going on regarding the call. Ben has largely not been trained when it comes to undertaking field work. He’s going to have to get out there and take on this case to the best of his ability, using his gut instinct and his wits.

Can he get to the bottom of what the caller was claiming? Is there an actual plot going on to infiltrate the United States? And if so, can he figure out what’s going on quickly enough to be able to put a stop to it? There’s only so much time available to get to the bottom of what’s happening. Will Porter be able to rise to the occasion or simply find that this was a fake call after all? Read this book to find out!

Threat Bias is the second novel in the Ben Porter series. Ben Porter works for the FBI and was able to stop a threat in 2017. Now he’s gotten a promotion and is a special agent officially.

He’s gotten his credentials and even was given a weapon. But without warning, things have suddenly flipped. Ben is stunned to find that he and his family are targets. He’s going to have to get over his inexperience in order to try and figure out what his enemies want. If he can, he’ll be able to finally make sure that he and his family are safe.

He’ll also get in the way of a new terror weapon. He has every incentive to get to the bottom of what’s going on and solve this case for good. But can he do it with so little experience in the field? Read the exciting second novel in the Ben Porter series to discover what happens in the end!

Mr. Rosow – My ‘spell-correct’ wanted you to become ‘Rosie’ instead of Rosow. I’m glad that I caught that! HA!

My husband suggested that I read your books and I’m glad that I did. To put it bluntly ‘You’re good!’

I like Ben Porter. I can relate to him. He isn’t perfect, but he always tries to do the right thing. Keep ‘em coming. I just finished ‘Vital Deception’ and I need more of Ben’s shenanigans.

Just finished reading “False Assurances”. Triple WOW, WOW, WOW!. This story is written to perfection. It has everything. Extraordinary casts of characters, a plot to match the insanity of 2022, LOL Whitty humor, edge of your seat action. Most of all I love your perfectly crafted lead character Ben Porter. I was with him all the way as he unleashed his inner hero. Stop doing anything but writing. Your a remarkable story teller. Okay, keep the sailboat racing. I know its a hard habit to break and there is no rehab for us. I’m catching my breathe before joining Ben in “Threat Bias”. I can’t wait to use your new word “Complisult”. How perfect it is.
