Traci Hall is a bestselling author with interests in a variety of genres. Since she writes in so many genres, her fan base is as varied as her books. She has seen her novels become bestsellers as she transports her readers to magical places and eras. However, she does love a happily ever after story and this always shines in most of her works, whether it be a historical fiction work or a romance novel. She has said that the favorite part of writing is brainstorming a story and then fleshing it out before releasing it as a published work with real life characters. She is an expert at writing about real life issues, even though most of her settings are fictional. If she is writing history, she will usually spice it up with a romantic twist maybe some sexy knights some female guards and an ancient curse. She can also write of love rekindled and hearts healed in sensual contemporary romances or of emerald rivers, silver guns and gold mines in the Pacific Northwest frontiers.
Hall was always destined to become an author given that she was the daughter of a mother that loved reading. Going to the library during the weekends was always something she found a lot of fun. Once she was done with the stack of books she got from the library, she would start reading her mother’s larger stack. As such, being able to write some entertaining stories for other is a dream of becoming an author fulfilled. Now that her children are finally in college she has more time to dedicate to writing. Nonetheless, time is still scarce given that she still works as a barista at the local Starbucks. She loves the flexible hours at Starbucks as they make it easier to write her novels and have allowed her to become prolific. “Rhiannon” her debut novel was first published in 2006 and since then she has written more than forty novels over several series.
Traci Hall is active in the writing community and is a member of the Florida Romance Writers and several years back, served as the organization’s president. She writes nonfiction, medieval paranormal romances, coming of age young adult fiction and young adult paranormal works. Writing fiction is something she enjoys and since she detested life as a teenager, writing her fiction works geared towards this age group is a great way of restructuring her past. The award winning author has been interviewed on Web TV, radio, Web radio, Fox and on several reviewer websites. She has also been on an anthology of fifty great writers and on magazines. When she is not writing or being a barista, she loves teaching workshops in person, or online. When she is just relaxing, she can be found traveling or spending some time on the beach away from her computer.
“Her Wiccan, Wiccan Ways” by Traci Hall is the story of Rhiannon Godfrey, a psychic prodigy who has to have the most unappreciative parents. They want their daughter to have a normal experience rather than being a psychic. The family has thus moved to Crystal Lake, a small farming town far away from trendy Las Vegas. Since they are Wiccan, blending in was always going to be problematic. Rhiannon is angry at being uprooted from Vegas and hence she does not tell her parents that the property they just purchased happens to be haunted. Rather she thinks that having the ghost in the house will convince them that she should be back studying at Institute of Parapsychology run by Dr. Richards. While she is not an expert at expelling ghosts, she thinks it cannot be that hard. But then there is the totally hot cowboy Jared Roberts that is the brother to the popular, shallow and totally evil Janet. Janet is only interested in making Rhee’s life as hard as it can be. However Rhiannon and her friends finally decide they have had enough and Rhee consults the book of spells her mother has in her bedroom. She is going to tech Janet a small lesson in humility with a little spell.
Traci Hall’s “Something Wiccan Comes This Way” continues following Rhiannon Godfrey. Every place she turns to always seems to be full of trouble, even when she tries to hide who she is to everyone but a select few of trusted friends. She has managed to stay under the radar for a while until someone starts spreading the rumor that her New Age store is nothing but a front. She is accused of running a real business of dark witchcraft complete with eyes of newt and cauldrons. The town is up in arms and even her boyfriend has been acting very weird towards her of late. But then Mathew her former crush comes into town and to her house with a heavy secret and a single suitcase. She has tried her best to be benevolent and moral but with trouble dogging her step at every turn, she thinks that maybe science is the path to enlightenment and not her unsuccessful spells. Rhee finds it easier to run from confrontation and hide from her talents rather than stand up for her beliefs. But there is more at stake this time around and she may just have to send one of her best friends packing to protect the life of another.
“Wiccan Cool” by Traci Hall is Rhiannon’s story that asserts that losing your balance is one of the easiest things to do as opposed to being normal. Rhee is finally beginning to settle into the ninth grade and is flirting with Jared once again. Everything is looking up once again though she now has to deal with compulsory community service several hours a week. In charge of her community service is the infuriating but intriguing Dane, who knows how to work her buttons. Without breaking a sweat, he can always slip past her emotional shields and ask her to become herself which is one of the scariest things she ever had to do. It is almost as scary as the spirit that has been known to haunt the silo behind the ice cream parlor at Doyle’s. She always Sees something of the ghost in Dane’s eyes and does not know what to make of it. For once in her life, all she wants to be is normal though normal for people like her can be very dangerous since it may include opening her heart to another person.
