Sarah M Eden is a bestselling and award winning inspirational and historical romance author. She is best known as the author of the “Jonquil Brothers,” “Lancaster Family,” “Longing for Home,” “Proper Romance Victorian,” “Proper Romance Western,” and the “Gents” series of novels. She usually combines her affinity for tender romance narratives with her history obsession to craft heartfelt romances and witty characters. As a teen, she went to college and has a bachelor’s degree in research. She has also been the Northwest Writers Retreat Writer in Residence and been an LDStorymakers Writers Conference Master of Ceremonies.
Sarah Eden is one of those writers that never thought they would grow up to find a career in writing. Even though she had long been a voracious reader of historical romance, her journey to becoming a published author came from a dare. She had been one of those people that often requested books via the interlibrary loan as she was done reading all the novels at the local library. Even worse was the fact that she had a preference for steamy stories which made her preferred novels very difficult to find. Coupled with the fact that she hated poorly drafted characters, unengaging plotlines and poor writing, it was not long before she ran out of things to read. One day while visiting her mother, she companied that she could not find something worthy of reading. Her mother replied that she understood her frustration but retorted that if she did not find what she liked may be she should write what she wanted to read. It was then that she thought I am going to prove her wrong and spent the following year learning how to become an author and then got down to writing her manuscript.
Eden started out as a self published author though she now has an agent. A few years after she published her debut, she sought out an agent as she felt she needed to publish the traditional way too. She is also part of the indie published Timeless Romance Anthologies and considers herself a hybrid author. Her publishing work falls under indie, agented traditional and traditional. Like most of her peers, she does go on tours to promote her novels. She loves getting out to meet the people who have given reviews on her novels and answering all manner of questions they might have. For Sarah Eden, promotion out on the road is a way of staying focused on her current projects as it helps her get in the writing zone. It is also a way to get away from the hectic life of running a home and day to day family life which can get a little boring over time. Nonetheless, she is a person who loves staying at home eating food she is used to, sleeping in her own bed and having a familiar routine. She also misses her family a lot when she is away and there is nothing she longs for more than getting back when the tour is done.
In Sarah M Eden’s novel “Seeking Persephone,” we are introduced to Persephone Lancaster. She is still reeling from the marriage proposal from the Duke of Kielder who is easily the most ill tempered man in the land. She rejects the proposal and then reconsiders, given that he is offering a lot of money that could save her family from financial ruin. She travels to the far reaches of Northern England to go marry one of the most feared men on the island. The Duke’s castle is a forbidding and cold place deep in the forest where wild dogs roam freely. The Duke is a man with terrible scars on his soul and body who is about to face the greatest challenge of his life. He had always protected his heart from falling in love but the gentle and lovely bride may prove just the thing to get him out of his forbidding shell. Persephone is persistent and caring and works on reaching the man beneath the armor. But the Duke wants to avoid exposure at all costs and his repeated rejection of the gentle Persephone start taking their toll. But then the duke reaches a crossroads and realizes that he can either lose the woman he has grown to adore or reveal his true feelings.

She is dreading the start of the London season as the impending social whirl is not something she is looking forward to. She has never had her sisters’ talent for easy conversation nor their beauty. Even though her family has some enviable connections, she thinks her debut will be a disaster. But her misery becomes delight when James Tilburn a tender hearted and kind man that had swept her off her feet in her younger years comes to town. He wants to court her and she is over the moon.
