She enjoys what she does, however, and particularly loves to write alluring stories with their share of thrills about the handsome men that her complex female characters fall for.
Burgoa enjoys residing in Denver and spending time with her family. She also likes to hang out with her Bichon dog named Macey, who is totally sweet and also seems to believe that she is the one that is in charge of the house. Macey’s right, but only partly so. She loves to pick up a book and read for a while too. When she isn’t busy reading or writing, she loves to hang out, do some knitting, or watch shows with her husband.
Claudia Y. Burgoa is the creator and the author of the Unexpected series of fictional novels. These romance novels first became available to readers in 2015 with the publication of Unlike Any Other, the debut book in the series. It was followed by Unsurprisingly Complicated, the second novel. Unlike Any Other is the first novel in the Unexpected series by Claudia Y. Burgoa. This is the debut installment of a fun romantic series and where readers get to meet the main character of A.J. for the first time.
A.J. Colthurst has parents that are famous, and it’s not easy being the progeny of celebrities. They’re just like any other really famous person would be in that they don’t really love being in the public eye (even though their jobs mean that they are actually in the public eye). They want privacy as much as possible and to get away from the media.
A.J.’s parents wanted this so badly that they decided to buy land and put a house there for the family. It was located basically in the center of nowhere and it was for their benefit. Later, the kids get older and find out about the half-truths and outright lies that they were told so that they would be sheltered from the damage of the media, and they’re upset. No one likes being lied to, but the kids are unhappy with the emotional damage from the lies.
A.J. feels that she may be partially to blame that her parents ended up separating, which makes her sad. They didn’t always get along and may even have been difficult to deal with thanks to their specific ways of doing things, but she still doesn’t like the fact that they have split up. She decides to try and get them to remember why they fell in love in the first place.
A.J. starts by getting into their heads and deciding to bring up to one of them why they should be together and how they were good together in the past. This might mean that she has to contend with some of her own memories from the past, some of them painful. But it’s worth it to bring her parents back together, right? All A.J. wants is to get her parents to fight for their relationship and find their perfect version of love again.
Then there’s Gabe, who has always put one hundred and ten percent into his career. In the eighties, he hit the financial scene and was determined to succeed. He relocated to New York City so that he could get a job as a stockbroker. However, things didn’t exactly go according to plan and Gabe found that he somehow stumbled into the world of making movies.
It wasn’t too much longer before he made it and was a recognized name in the industry. The only downfall to his wildly successful career is all of the media attention. The paparazzi make it hard to keep his life private, but Gabe does his best for his own sake and for his family. He made that choice before he started a family with his partner but it ended up backfiring and making them less close.
It’s up to Gabe now to try and fix everything. Can he put all of the pieces together once more and get closer with his daughter? Will he find love along the way? Read this book to find out!
