The American author Lisa Suzanne is well known for her engaging romance novels that have been grabbing readers attention for a number of years now. A highly prolific novelist, she’s extremely well regarded, not only for her stories and premises, but her characters as well. Many of these leave a definite imprint upon the reader, really setting apart from various other writers within her field and genre. Understanding the format well, she’s very much a master of her craft, producing books that are read by a worldwide audience.
Creating a number of series too, she’s well known for publishing ongoing franchises typically featuring powerful businessmen. This brand of fantasy romance has proven to be hugely successful, with its escapist sensibilities that knows what it is perfectly. Having a lot of fun, she has created an interesting style that is very much her own, in what is a unique and idiosyncratic approach to the genre. There’s a lot here for the reader to invest themselves in, as she creates scores of compelling novels that ensure her reader continue to come back for more.
Her characters are also notable in that, while they fulfil many of the conventions of the genre, they also feel fully fleshed out and three-dimensional. Coming alive on the page for the reader, they stay with them long after they’ve put the book down, leading them to come back for more. Becoming a household name for many, Suzanne continues to find an ever growing audience with her bestselling novels. There’s a lot more to follow in the future too, as her career as a writer grows upwards and onwards with every passing day.
Early and Personal Life
Born in 1980 on the 4th of February, Lisa Suzanne would grow up with a keen passion for both reading and writing from early on. This would grow as a passion of hers over the years, as she would continue to actively pursue as an interest of hers. Learning her craft, she would come to find her own voice in time, nurturing it and building upon it, as she would establish her profile worldwide.
Previously working as an English teacher in high-school, she would also work as a college composition instructor too. All of this would see her find inspiration as well as her own style, continually looking for her next big idea to write about. Currently living in Arizona with her husband and their two kids, she continues to write regularly to this present day.
Writing Career
Publishing her first novel back in 2013, Lisa Suzanne would make her big literary debut with the title ‘How He Really Feels’ to much fanfare. This would also be the first in her ‘He Feels’ series of novels, which she’d later follow up with ‘What he Really Feels’ that very same year. After this she would subsequently bring out a whole range of different novels and series, many of them focusing on romantic relationships.
Over time she would come to formulate her own distinct brand, creating her own style and approach to the romance genre. She would also bring out a collection of omnibus editions too, bringing together some well known titles of hers. With a lot more to come, she continues to maintain a presence both online and off, as she carries on growing her audience worldwide.
Outwait
First published back in 2017 on the 1st of June, this would initially come out through the ‘LS, LLC’ publishing imprint. It would mark the third in the ‘Courting San Diego’ series of novels, as they would all follow on from each other thematically. The books themselves are romances and can all be read as stand-alone titles with entirely self-contained narratives.
Creating strong and engaging characters is what really elevates this particular book above the rest within its genre. The story itself is well plotted romance that makes the most of the tropes, shifting them and having fun with them. It really creates a compelling book in the process, as the reader really cares about the plight of the central protagonists.
With a new woman on his arm every night, it seems to the outside world that Carson King has it all, especially as he’s lined up to be the new CEO of King Communications. The center of the New York social scene he’s content with his life, that is until Sylvie Baker turns up in his life, and he makes a confession that could change everything. She has a boyfriend though, happily waiting to get married, and it seems that Carson may be waiting for a long time. Will Sylvie change her mind though, and can she fight her feelings? What was the confession made? Can Carson outwait?
Conflicted
This is one of the few entirely stand-alone titles from Lisa Suzanne as an author, although it’s fairly familiar territory to fans of her work. Providing another romance, this was originally published on the 12th of September in 2016 through the ‘LS, LLC’ label once again. With a relationship at the heart of it, it manages to provide another engaging story, as it follows its two central leads.
It’s a well written story with a lot of suspense to it, as there’s a complicated array of human emotions on display. This makes for some truly engaging storytelling, as it’s definitely a book that difficult to put down once picked up. The characters come to life off of the page, allowing it to speak directly to the reader in a sense, making for one highly compelling novel.
Taking over Benson Industries as head CEO, Cole Benson is completely infuriating to work for with his arrogant attitude and ego. It is just that Lucy Cleary can’t stop thinking about him, and they continue to grow close, despite her initially being repelled by him. The only other issue is that she’s already married, as she has a husband, so she’ll have to try and put aside her feelings. Can she really do this though? Will they both finally end up with one another? Are they both feeling truly conflicted?
