Sherry Ficklin is a popular author who hails from Colorado, United States and loves to write novels based on the Yong Adult, Mystery, Thriller and Paranormal genres. She has written around ten novels in four different series’ and has seen quite a bit of success in her career. Sherry has converted herself from a writing enthusiast to a full time author and loves to write about the magical worlds that she always keep imagining about. Her interest in writing young adult novels started developing from her childhood when she used to keep herself busy in reading famous novels by noteworthy authors of her childhood time. As she grew older, she developed particular interests in the paranormal as well as mystery & thriller novels along with the young adult novels. She always wished to become a successful author and showed the much required dedication and determination towards achieving her goal. While she was pursuing her college studies, Sherry began writing stories based on her imagination. Even though she used to make a few mistakes while attempting to write a story that she wished to be praised by her friends, she did not stop and kept improving her writing skills.

Sherry was encouraged a lot by her friends and family members in her journey of becoming an established author. As of today, she lives happily in Colorado along with her husband, her four children, a couple of pet dogs and a few chickens along with several house guests. Sherry Ficklin is a former military brat and love to travel a lot. She likes to visit different places and meet new people with a view of interacting with them and understanding their values and thinkings. When not busy with writing, Sherry Ficklin can be seen often browsing books in her local bookstore. She always carries a towering stack of the novels she wants to read, in one hand and a large bowl of hot chocolate in the other. Sherry likes to chill out her days and often manages to find some time from her busy schedule to spend with her family and enjoy being with them. At times, she goes missing for days in order to complete her novels and stories before the deadline. A couple of the novels series’ written by Sherry consist of three novels each, whereas a couple others have just been started with only one novel in each of them. Sherry has also written a few standalone novels in her short career and has also collaborated with her fellow authors like K.C. Finn, Mellissa J. Cunningham and Tyler Jolly for writing a few interesting novels with them.

One of the novel series written by Sherry Ficklin is the Stolen Empire series, which consists of a total of 3 novels published between the years 2014 and 2015. The first two novels of the series have already been published and the third one is about to be published in early 2016. The first novel of the series was published by the Clean Teen Publishing in the year 2014. The novel was titled ‘Queen of Someday’ and depicted the story of the main character named Sophie, who is described by the author as having the ability to bring and empire to its knees. In the opening plot of the novel, Sophie is seen trying to survive her mother’s quest, who wants her to take the throne of Russia at any cost, banking on the fact that she has high social contacts. However, 15 year-old Sophie has some other plan and wants to become the greatest empress of all time. She faces a lot of dangers in the Imperial Court, by a number of people. The Imperial Court in situated in the heart of St. Petersburg and the people over there are required to navigate through the romantic, religious and political demands of Empress Elizabeth and her nephew Peter, in order to survive. Empress Elizabeth is described as a bitter lady while her nephew Peter is shown as a sadistic, but handsome man. Sophie is forced to do things against her wishes in order to survive the dangers in her new surroundings and at the same time save herself and her impoverished family. On the realizing the grave dangers, she vows to do whatever it takes to ensure the safety of her family. However, her plans are threatened to get derailed sue to an unexpected attraction. Sophie finds herself lonely in the new surroundings and slowly begins to differentiate the one who she should trust and charm. She tries to avoid any step that could endanger her future and force to get married to her lecherous uncle. Her life hangs in the middle of murderers and traitors at every corner of the Imperial Court. She finds herself in a dilemma as she is in love with a man and is bethroted to another and has to decide which one among them she is willing to sacrifice in order to safeguard her wish of becoming the empress of the Imperial Court.

The second novel of the series was published in the year 2015 under the title ‘Queen of Tomorrow’ by the Clean Teen Publishing. The novel continues to deal with the life of the main character Sophie, who is destined to become the greatest empress of all time. She has changed her name to Catherine and has been married to Grand Duke Peter. Being married to him at the age of 16 has allowed her to become the Grand Duchess of Russia, however, she experiences a tough beginning in the first year at the Imperial Court. Now, she only thinks about securing the future of her country and her own. Sophie fights hard against the forces which try to make Prince Ivan hold the throne by deposing Empress Elizabeth. As a result, Sophie lands herself in the middle of a war between her empire and her hoe country Prussia. She becomes aware of the web of the infidelity and deceit that is present around her palace. Her married life begins to blossom as she experiences a romantic alliance with Peter and hopes of having a happy future with him. However, her wishes of doing so are surrounded by dangers from all sides, She is forced to sacrifice her innocence in order to ensure the safety of herself and her nation. Sophie is left with no other option, but to betray her closed ones in order to survive. Hence, she does the unthinkable and becomes more dangerous and great that she had ever imagined to become.
