Anna Hackett
Australian born Anna Hackett, a Mining Engineer by day and a writer by night, grew up being a reader without any dreams of being a writer. She bought a few how-to books, joined some writers groups, and began writing.
She learned the importance of grabbing every opportunity that presents itself. In the year 2008, she entered this pitch contest on eHarlequin.com and was chosen to pitch her story online. The story sold to Nocturne Bites and Anna found herself with an editor.
Anna is passionate about emotion-filled, fast paced science fiction and contemporary romance. She loves writing about people that overcome unbeatable odds and achieve apparently impossible goals. She likes to believe it’s possible for the rest of us to do the same.
Her parents are the ones to blame for her insatiable need to mix romance, action, and adventure. When she was young, she would raid her mom’s romances, and her dad’s action adventure thrillers. Anna loves being exhilarated and left a bit breathless. She is a sucker for that moment when the team walks in slow motion, shoulder-to-shoulder and heading off into a battle.
When she isn’t wearing her hard hat and boots, she is at her computer, working on one of her paranormal romances.
“Gladiator” is the first novel in the “Galactic Gladiators” series and was released in the year 2016. Fighting for honor, love, and freedom out on the galaxy’s lawless outer rim.
When Harper Adams, an Earth space marine, finds herself getting kidnapped by some alien slavers off of a space station, her life becomes a battle to survive. Harper’s determined to figure a way to get home, however when she notices her best friend in the arena, a slave of these evil Thraxian aliens, she’s going to do what she must to save her buddy. Even join up with the tough alpha that sets her body afire. However while she and Raiden step onto the blood stained sands of this arena, she worries that he’s got a dangerous agenda of his own.
“Mission: Her Protection” is the first novel in the “Team 52” series and was released in the year 2018. When Rowan’s Arctic research group pulls an odd object from out of the ice in Northern Canada, things begin going wrong. Rescued by some covert black ops team, she finds herself right in the powerful arms of a guy with some scary gold eyes. A guy that vows to do anything and everything to keep her safe.
Dr. Rowan Schafer learned it’s best to do things herself and not depend on others. Her academic and cold parents taught her this lesson. She loves the challenge of running a research base, until the day that her scientists find the object in some retreating glacier. Rowan, now under attack, finds herself in a fight for survival, until the mysterious Team 52 shows up.
Lachlan Hunter, a former special forces Marine, had his military career end in screams and blood, until he got recruited to lead this special team. A team that was tasked with a top secret mission: to secure and safeguard the pieces of powerful ancient tech. But while Team 52 goes back to their base in Nevada, there are other hostile forces are trying to get the artifact, and Rowan finds herself being under attack, and while the bullets fly, Lachlan vows he will protect her whatever the cost. However in the face of danger like they have never seen before, is it going to be enough to keep her alive?

When archeologist January’s plane gets shot down right over the Guatemalan jungle, she knows that she is being hunted for the invaluable Mayan artifacts that she is carrying. There is only one guy and his team can save her, the covert black ops Team 52, and the distrusting ex-CIA operative that drives her wild.
Dr. January James has got a motto: live life to the fullest. A horrible incident back in her past, where she lost her mom along with her innocence is what taught her this lesson. Now she spends her days out on archaeological digs doing the work that she loves. Once her team uncovers a couple of dangerous artifacts in some overgrown temple, she knows that they’ll need to be safeguarded and secured. However somebody else knows about these artifacts, too. And they will kill to get their hands on them.
Seth Lynch, while working for the CIA, learned the hard way that people lie and are always going to stab you right in the back. He’s got the scars that prove it. He lives for the work he does with Team 52: ensuring that pieces of powerful ancient tech do not fall into the wrong hands. When he discovers that the independent and feisty archaeologist that works his very last nerve died in a plane crash, he makes it his mission to learn who’s responsible.
Seth, while deep in the jungle, rescues an alive January and it’s up to him to keep her and the artifacts safe. Hunted from each side, their attraction is both fiery and explosive, however with her life on the line, he has to battle his own demons in order to rescue the woman that he can’t resist any longer.
I am so intrigued by these books. I’m not a si-fi kind of girl but found these books to be good listens. My first book I listened to was The Investigater. I loved that action pack book. I’ve been hooked ever since. Can’t wait for the next round.
