A Summer Surprise is the beginning of the The Kindness Club on Mapleberry Lane series. When her granddaughter shows up one day, Veronica will have her life turned upside down. Audrey has struggled to find her place in the world after her parents’ divorce, but now she’s looking to find a way to help her gran reconnect with the community. Her idea is a kindness club as one generous action per day can make the world a better place while also helping one another. Veronica and Audrey start to feel braver each day as the acts of kindness spread through the village.

The Kindness Club on Mapleberry Lane series continues with An Autumn Promise. Veronica and Audrey welcome Veronica’s daughter Sam to the house and they finally have the chance to bring their family back together. Charlie is Veronica’s neighbor and for years him and his little girl Layla have been her lifeline. Now, Charlie and Sam are striking up a connection and there is hope that he can heal her bruised heart.

The two were meant to move away together, but Harvey changed his mind and she went without him.

The two blame each other for what happened with neither one willing to admit fault. When Barney wants to cancel the the charity fundraiser he holds every year in the barn on his property, Harvey and Melissa realize they’ll have to do it. The two manage to unearth a secret Barney has never shared with anyone which sets them on a journey to bring back the Barney they know and love.

The owner is Daniel, back to make amends with his brother and whoever else he may have offended in his day. Lucy is new to the village. She’s a blacksmith who has been pretending to still be with her ex in order to keep his gran happy in her old age, but now she is getting tired of the lying. She wants to come clean and live her own life, including possibly starting something with Daniel. However, Daniel is hiding things as well and she’s not sure if these secrets are ones that she’ll be able to look past.

Summer Nights in Lantern Square is the first book in the Lantern Square series. Hannah has a found a home in the charming Cotswold village of Butterbury. She had lived in the big city before, but now runs a small business from her cottage and couldn’t be happier. She’s starting to get to know the locals and make a home here when she finds out that her ex-boyfriend Harry is her new accountant. This brings back feelings from the past. He’s here to help sort the finances, but he also seems to have another agenda and she worries about spending too much time with him. Instead of dealing with her own love life, Jo instead starts arranging blind dates for some of the regulars at the café. The question becomes not just will they find love at the café, but will Jo as well?
