Stacy Claflin is an American author of more than seventy-five novels. She is the author of the Transformed series, the Gone series, the Hunters series, the Curse of the Moon series, the Alex Mercer series, the Valhalla’s Curse series, the Wildflower Romance series, the Dark Sea Academy series, the Dead for Good series with Nolon King, and the Brannon House series.
Claflin loved reading and writing from a young age. She has shared a story about when she was a teenager and said that she would always have at least five books that she was reading at the same time. She was able to multitask reading them and never got confused, and never even needed a bookmark. Now, that’s talent.
She found a love from thrillers as a young person as well when she was exposed to televisions shows like Unsolved Mysteries and America’s Most Wanted. That love has continued to this day as she enjoys watching true crime documentaries and listening to true crime podcasts. Of course, she also writes thrillers and has had much success with them. In addition to thrillers, Claflin also dabbles in other genres like paranormal and romance.
When Stacy isn’t writing she spends time with her two children. She also enjoys hiking and spending time outdoors. When she is indoors, she likes watching television shows like Designated Survivor, Stranger Things, Dead to Me, and Umbrella Academy.
Stacy’s writing style in her books features complex women overcoming incredible odds. In each of her book series, she has a three-dimensional heroine who manages to shine through in difficult circumstances.
The Perfect House is the first book in the Brannon House series. Kenzi walked away from her painful past and got a fresh start in California. She heads north to her family’s abandoned house where rumors of haunting surround the place. Kenzi has bigger things to worry about though as it appears that her sister’s death was not a suicide, but a murder. Now, things in the house are moving on their own and Ember thinks that it is a ghost. But Kenzi worries that this is the result of something more sinister and that whoever killer her sister is now after her.
The first book in the Dark Sea Academy series is Mermaid’s Song. The story follows a teenage mermaid named Marra who has been living on land and pretending to be fun. Her parents get word to her that her uncle, the king of Valora, has died and they are returning to Valora as her father is the new king Marra joins them and is told that she will be going to the Dark Sea Academy.
