Jennifer Moore
Author Jennifer Moore lives with four sons and a husband that produce heaps of laughter and laundry.

She earned her BA from the University of Utah in Linguistics, which she primarily uses for episodes of Jeopardy. Most of the time she wishes she was on board a frigate during the Age of Sail.

Jenna is a reader of romance and history, and loves to watch cake decorating videos, travel, scented candles, and tall ships. When she is not busy driving carpool, writing, or helping out with homework, she can usually be found playing tennis and being a Guitar Hero champion. Jenna also suffers from an acute addiction to 18th and 19th century military literature and history.

“Becoming Lady Lockwood” is the first stand alone novel and was released in 2014. Amelia Beckett is filled with delight at being a widow. Married to some proxy man that she had never met, she recognizes that a fortuitous entry into widowhood frees her out of matchmakers and meddlesome chaperones. Heiress to her mom’s sugar plantation in Jamaica, she happily anticipates working in a man’s world, with additional credibility of her new title: Lady Lockwood. However with the Captain Sir William Drake’s arrival, her plans soon go awry.

William’s traversed the Atlantic with a single purpose. If he is unable to prove that Amelia’s marriage to his brother was a fraud, she’ll be entitled to a rather sizable portion of his family’s estate. He’s determined to return this duplicitous “Lady” for an official hearing in London, and carries with him a letter which will ensure her full cooperation.

Left without any choice, Amelia joins the captain on his return trip to England, and the two soon find that this ship doesn’t allow for evasion. William and Amelia are thrown together ceaselessly, and amidst the fierce ocean battles and storms, what started as antipathy appears to be evolving rather unexpectedly. However while they draw closer to their destination, is the impossibility of their circumstances ruin any hope of a future together?

“My Dearest Enemy” is the first novel in the “War of 1812” series and was released in 2018. Abigail Tidwell struggles alone on her family farm and knows precisely who to blame for her hardships: the Americans. Had it not been for their part in the war, her brothers and dad would be at home instead of fighting abroad.

However no amount of antipathy could’ve readied her for the stunning sight of the wounded American soldier standing on her property, a guy in dire need of assistance. She grudgingly tends to his injuries and anticipates the satisfaction she will feel once she turns him over to the authorities once he has healed up. Yet fate’s got other plans. Captain Emmett Prescott doesn’t remember much about the ambush on his men by the group of Shawnee Indians and even less about how he showed up in the unfamiliar barn.

After Emmett was nursed back to health by the gorgeous, if reluctant Abigail, he would do anything to save the guys that he left behind, and that includes forcibly enlisting Abigail’s help. Pretty soon, she finds herself caught in the middle of two countries at war. And while her attraction for Emmett continues to grow, her conflicted heart engages in a silent battle of its own. However when she gets accused of treason for her actions, her survival is resting in the hands of the same guy she formerly thought of as her enemy.

“Solving Sophronia” is the first novel in the “Blue Orchid Society” series and was released in 2020. Lady Sophronia Bremerton is a far cry away from your usual debutante, however she is the toast of London’s upper class because of one simple thing: she is a society columnist for the London Illustrated News, and the gentry enjoys seeing their exploits printed up in the gossip pages. However Sophie’s got much bigger plans, as she plans to become an investigative reporter.

A stuffy ballroom during yet another Season proves to be nothing more than the typical rumor mill, she seeks a respite in the library, alongside four other young ladies who, for reasons of their own, are looking for an escape, too. While the conversation turns to their own secret ambitions, the women form their own sisterhood and one bold plan: they’ll make their dreams a reality, no matter what the obstacles might be. Thus the Blue Orchid Society has started.

Sophie, having heard about a murder in a London rookery, seizes the chance to prove her abilities. Detective Jonathan Graham does not believe a civilian, and a noblewoman at that, should be anywhere close to a murder investigation, however Sophie insists on helping bring this killer to justice. Her investigative prowess does not go unnoticed by the cops, particularly Jonathan, who is unable to decide whether this intrepid reporter is the woman of his dreams or just a thorn in his side. However while the case gets more dangerous and complex, their very lives (and their hearts) might also be at risk.

“Inventing Vivian” is the second novel in the “Blue Orchid Society” series and was released in 2021. Ladies of London’s High Society are known for their poise and social graces. Vivian Kirby boasts neither one of these enviable qualities, although she does offer impressive conversation on chemical compositions. Unfortunately, it seems that not too many men want an intelligent wife. So it is that Vivian finds some kinship with a group of young ladies that embrace one another’s differences: The Blue Orchid Society.

After spending an extended period in China, Lord Benedict has come back to transformed to his family’s estate, where just one encounter with Vivian, whose scientific knowledge he formerly undermined, leaves him determined to make amends with her. Benedict arranges to help forward her research, obviously anonymously.

Through letters, Vivian establishes a warm friendship with her secret benefactor, even while she is drawn into a murder investigation unexpectedly which forces her to work with Benedict to learn the truth. Vivian soon fears that she could be starting to fall in love with two men, never suspecting that they are the same guy.
