Sara Ney is a USA Today bestselling novelist best known for writing the “How to Date a Douchebag” series of novels. She has also made a name for herself writing laugh-out-loud and sexy new adult romances.

Before she became a renowned author, Ney dabbled in all manner of things. At some point, she was the one of a high-end children’s clothing shop and also spent time as a landlord, sorority advisor, and mother.

Ney has said that she has always felt a connection with modern young adults, which is perhaps why she loves writing young adult fiction.
Since she still works as the advisor of a sorority chapter, she gets to interact with college students on the regular.
She can often be found on college campuses talking to all manner of women and men looking for the right one. She has used some of these experiences to pen her novels.

When she is not writing her novels, she can be found traveling, admiring the historical architecture, and reading historical works from the Victorian era.
As a cool mother from the Midwest, she is also a lover of clothing shops and antique malls.

Just like many of her contemporaries, reading is something that Sara Ney loved to do all his life. She can still remember the many hours she spent with her nose in a book when she was in her teenage years.

She used to sit by the pool dangling her feet in it but never getting in as she was reading. Ney also used to build shoddily-made tree forts, where she would hide with a novel so that she would not have to do her chores.

It was a time when there were no eReaders or Kindle, and she had to shell out four or five dollars for a paperback. This means that people that read treasured their books even more and tended to keep them.

She still remembers how she would get a heart attack when she could not get ahold of a friend to whom she lent her book. Sara Ney can still remember that time she made her friend Vanessa check out a book like she was in the public library.

Over the years, her passion for books only grew and over time it transformed into a desire for writing.

For the longest time, Sara Ney wanted to write fiction and you could practically say it was among the first items on her bucket list.
She woke up one day and decided that she was going to actually do it rather than just dream about it. Heading to Starbucks for the quiet, she started writing his work.

Since Ney had always been quite the daydreamer, she spent quite some time experimenting with different plots and beginnings.
She does a lot of thinking in the shower and did dialogues in her head. She used t0 have ideas at all times that she would then text to herself.
When it finally came to publishing, it was a mixed bag of fortunes. It was easy enough to fill out the information about her book on Amazon Kindle but formatting the novel was not so easy.

She ended up paying a specialized service and saved herself the hassle since she has never been computer program savvy.
She penned “Kissing in Cars” her debut novel in 2014 and has never looked back since.

“The Studying Hours” by Sara Ney introduces Sebastian Osbourne who is the self-assured and arrogant captain of his college’s wrestling team.
He knows how to make panties fall with a smirk or wink given how famous and good-looking he is. Given his personality, getting laid has never been an issue for him.

However, she meets Jameson Clarke a proper-looking and diligent girl that rejects all his advances. She wears her pearl necklace, wears cardigans, and will not tolerate douchebags like him.

She is not fazed by his approach and will not even look at him when they meet at the library. This is a first and Ozzy and his friends dismiss her as a prude, even though she easily proves them wrong.

Osbourne wants to get with her but she wants nothing to do with him. But a very persistent Oz aided by serendipity results in more encounters and it is not long before the two are friends. But Oz wants more than friendship.

Sara Ney’s novel “The Failing Hours” is the story of Violet and Zeke. Zeke happens to be a jerk that requires some tutoring from his coach but his rotten attitude often gets him into trouble.

His coach soon starts putting all manner of trials in his path to test how much he wants to remain on the wrestling team.

His tutor is Violet, a timid woman that spends much of her time in the library. When they first met, she had been intimidated by the dark cloud around him.
She never wanted to tutor him but the more they spent time together the more they change their views of each other. The beauty of the story was that Violet never did try to keep up with the many mood swings that Zeke had.

All she did was hold out for respectful treatment and over time, she started having an impact on Zeke.

“The Learning Hours” by Sara Ney is very different from the first two novels of the series.

Rhett the lead in the work is the opposite of a douchebag as he is the most kind-hearted and sweetest man you could ever meet. When Laurel first met Rhett, she finds him pretty average despite his wrestler’s body.

Rhett has recently transferred to the college and is having a hard time adapting. Between his team hazing him and his roommates harassing him, he is not having an easy time.

But once he starts getting to know Laurel, things steadily improve over the weeks. Even though she was not impressed with him at first, he soon transforms into a very attractive man.

Given his good heart, the attraction can only grow once she gets to know him.
