Sadie Haller
Sadie Haller, a USA Today bestselling author, lives in a small blue house near the sea with a husband, two cats, three cats, and six hens (well actually they live in a smaller red house out back). Sadie pens kinky happily ever afters for celebrities, musicians, politicians, and the occasional member of the royal family.

Procrastination and distraction are good ways for Sadie to work through writers’ block. She does something else. Sometimes it will be writing something else, other times it is an activity that is entirely unrelated to writing at all. She finds it is sort of like when you cannot remember something, like an actor’s name or a song title, the more you think about it, the deeper it’ll get stuck in your memory, however once you move onto another thing, it’ll pop right into your brain uninvited.

Probably Sadie’s favorite aspect of being a writer is that she is fully in control, because she controls her environment and work hours. She controls her stories too, at least as much as her characters will allow. She controls her cover art, deadlines, formatting, and promotion.

The inspiration for her “Dominant Cord” series came from under representation. There are no shortage of kinky rock star tales, which Sadie enjoys reading, however as a classically trained musician with a broad kinky streak, she felt woefully under represented.

Without much more than the notion of a chamber group made up fully of Doms, and one oboe playing rape survivor with severe performance anxiety, and she started writing. Sadie had the first draft done for “One Gold Heart” in ten days.

“One Gold Knot” was inspired by an early cover mock up for “One Gold Heart” and this conversation she had with her daughter about funerals and weddings.

“One Gold Triquetra” was inspired by this passing thought that she had while writing “One Gold Knot”. What if two of the Doms had a secret relationship with each other?

“One Gold Heart” is the first novel in the “Dominant Cord” series and was released in 2013. Finn Taylor is simply an asshole. So why does he keep turning up in Mac’s late-night fantasies playing the Dom of her dreams? She cannot even ignore the guy, because she has been stuck working with this fellow musician for the Christmas concert season.

Mac Wallis is a mess, and Finn can’t fall for a submissive that is so damaged that she needs medication just to get through a performance. However he is drawn to this gorgeous oboist, even while he keeps pissing her off. He cannot resist attempting to take care of her, in every possible way.

“One Gold Knot” is the second novel in the “Dominant Cord” series and was released in 2014. She didn’t do relationships. She did not even do all night.

Hildy Klein, after years spent avoiding her teenage crush, is shocked to face Wilson Kennedy.

Her uncle’s wake is not the place to unravel all of the ways that Wilson could leave her exposed and emotionally vulnerable, yet his gentle persistence is impossible to ignore.

However Wilson’s no longer that boy from her fantasies, and now she has to figure out if she’ll give up her control and commit to the kinky and protective Dom that he has become.

“One Gold Triquetra” is the third novel in the “Dominant Cord” series and was released in 2015. Composer Ella Hudson got turned off of BDSM because of a bad playdate a decade ago.

Now she is getting offered a performance opportunity that is too good to pass up, however it will mean working closely with Griffin and Jackson, world class musicians, lovers, and Doms that are intent on adding her to their relationship.

As Ella struggles to deny her real desires, keeping up her vanilla facade gets more and more difficult while the guys reintroduce her to the world that she had written off.

“A Capella” is the first story in the “Dominant Cord Intermezzo” series and was released in 2014. Love is navigating the complications together.

After getting some upsetting news, Mac Wallis (an assault survivor) hides all her distress from her Dom because she’s worried that she is just one new piece of emotional baggage from getting dumped.

When Finn Taylor comes home unexpectedly for a surprise play session and learns that his submissive has been keeping secrets, he spends the entire day showing her just how much she means to him.

“Cadenza” is the second story in the “Dominant Cord Intermezzo” series and was released in 2015. Using your safe word isn’t a sign of weakness.

After Hildy Klein grew up starved for affection, she’s now going to take whatever her Dom dishes out, even if it pushes her into more dangerous waters. She does not want to give him any reason to hold back, and the very thought of that gives her chest pains.

Wil Kennedy’s sub fails to safe word during their play, he is alarmed. For both of their sakes, he needs to drive home the importance of limits without harming her in the process.

“Tainted Shadow” is the first stand alone novel and was released in 2016. Tainted Pearl’s lead singer has got a stalker problem and her bodyguard, Brody Clarke does not hesitate in cutting his vacation short when he gets asked to protect her.

Sparks begin flying, but not the good kind, when he rubs the rabidly independent rock star the wrong way. Now he needs to convince her that allowing him to be in control may just save her life.

And if it also has the side benefit of turning those sparks into a totally different sort of heat? Brody is up for that sort of dominance too.

There’s an explosive chemistry between Brody and Honey right off the bat, and it is just a matter of time before it combusts. Sadie does a fantastic job of developing this story and all of the characters without needing to spell everything out. You’re able to easily watch the way that they dance around the edges of love, battling out every step of the way.
