Publication Order of The Alien and Epic Story Books
When Saxon Andrew was five years old he bribed his second-grade brother to read him Tom Corbett, Space Cadet. (Tom Corbett is the a character in a series of stories written by authors unknown as the pseudonym Carey Rockwell. The stories were presented in books, comic strips & books, radio, and television in the 1950s.)
At that early age he started devouring science fiction. This is the beginning of his lifelong love of science fiction. It was the seed of his enjoyment of famous S.F. authors like Robert Heinlein, Isaac Asimov, Frank Herbert, E.E. ‘Doc” Smith, and Gordon R. Dickson. Reading all those years have flavored the creation of his stories’ universes and characters.
Like many authors, writing wasn’t the first career for Mr. Andrew. Working his way through different experiences, he has collected knowledge and skills that have informed his writing. He has a degree from Mercer University in Psychology and Education. He started out as a social worker.
Mr. Andrew was proud to have been a high school educator and coach. Watching the young students become adults, while a challenging occupation, he thought it was also a pleasure. Mr. Andrew did professional sales team-related training with writing training manuals, delivered training classes, developed sales techniques, and doing field training for professional sales teams.
In his family owned service business, he became aware of how delivering customer service reflected real-life problems of meeting the normal day-to-day challenges of business ownership. These interactions also became fodder for many of the characters in his books.
Mr. Andrew says that his wife encouraged him to start writing. He retired in 2009 and she recognized he needed a channel for his ability for storytelling and his constant overactive imagine. Annihilation- Love Conquers All was his first book. This first story was humorous and full of enduring love. It was a story of galactic war on a huge scale.
As he dug into writing, he rapidly turned out three books. His friends were completely supportive and with that came confidence. The three books were self-published in April 2011 on Amazon Kindle. Mr. Andrew was delighted and surprised to discover that thousands of other readers enjoyed his books and wanted more.
His books rapidly became number one with Amazon in Independent Authors, Science Fiction, and International Publishing. Mr. Andrew has written over 55 books in thirteen different series since 2011.
Mr. Andrew is very proud of the fact that his stories are clean and family friendly. Children can read his stories without any concerns from parents and he wants them to be excited about science fiction. They may even be so engaged with the story they will stay up all night reading one.
The Inside Flap, a website of literary podcasts, had a short discussion about Mr. Andrew’s book The Trouble of Tourists. The three podcasters, Andrew Dowd, Laura Medius, and Dave Medius based in the lovely Littleton, Colorado. They have widely varied backgrounds of being an interior designer, another has worked in many capacities in I.T. for several Fortune 500 companies, and one is a high school drama teacher.
The three good friends gather weekly and discuss, review, and recommend three books, and they highlight and recommend a well-done audiobook. In their podcast about Mr. Andrew’s book, The Trouble of Tourists, they were all highly enthusiastic and offered a concise summary of the exciting story.
They describe the story as humorous, fast-paced, and the characters are well-developed. It’s coherent and compelling, as the story covers a time span of 350 years! Our main protagonist, Scott, in an action similar to current situations, signed up for government work as a way to get funds for his education.
On his first assignment as an investigator for the government, he is given very little information about the planet. Scott is dispatched to a planet to gather information for his government. His adventures start immediately when the room he is to rent isn’t available because his landlord has been kidnapped by bullies.
Scott decides it is his job to rescue her. There’s very few women on the planet and they are seen as highly valuable so when he meets Alexandra they quickly form a friendship. An interesting and highly mysterious fact about this planet is the houses have an unknown force field around them they is untouchable and the houses themselves are absolutely indestructible.
Scott and Alexandra team up to attempt to unravel the mystery of when the houses were built and by whom. The planet’s climate is growing colder and the former inhabitants are expected to return. Scott thinks he needs to hide humanity on the planet from the impending return of the former inhabitants. (For unknown reasons, they are referred to as “aliens”.)
Scott is doing his duty and due diligence and has informed his government of the impending safety risk to this planet’s occupants, has made recommendations, and has requested immediate assistance. In another parallel to our planet, the government totally ignores his warnings and advice.
Mr. Andrew lives with his two dogs- “Dogs are always ready to smile” and wife in Tampa, Florida. When he’s not writing, answering fan-mail, or corresponding with fellow indie authors he enjoys the wonderful weather of Florida with traveling, golfing, or spending time on the beach.

Worked on the Jame Webb Space Telescope for a few years, have been exposed to Electromagnetic Aircraft launching systems, measured car parts, planted Pecan trees, and I mow the pasture with a snapper lawnmower kind of like Forrest Gump for mental therapy when I’m not reading.
